lovely, i know a few people who have many unpaid tickets... crazy Fl. laws.

Still, I didn't laugh at what happened to this woman. However, I hope she thinks twice before being rude.

Still, what if it was me that got tazered. I wouldn't like it and would find out if it was accessive force. However, if I didn't like why the laws where enforced I would address the courts and representatives. To act that way to a law enforcement officer is insane.

Respect and responsiblity, I would act the same way if I'm willing to take the responsiblity for my actions. Example would be if I was rushing my wife to hospital, screw suspended license.

They cant carry botons but they do have a teleoscope submission/pressure point hitting device. It is about two and a half feet long (extended) with a little ball at the end. Not speaking from experence, but when you get hit in the joints that body part goes limp. Seen it in a demo once, cop hits guy in the back of the knee and the guy goes down like a sack of potatos.

IMO I would rather get shocked than hit with one of those.

It is a collapsable baton. Makes it easier to run around with and they dont have to remove it to get in their cars.

There is no reason to be afraid of a police officer. Just cooperate and not give them any attitude and they will generally let you go with a warning, depending on the offence, of course.


I agree with most of you guys. That dumb bitch got what she deserved. A cop will only pull out his taser if the person is a threat to the officer or someone anyone else or if the person is resisting arrest. What was the officer supposed to do in this situation? Sit there and let the woman finish her phone call? Would she even get out of her vehicle when she was finished? She was resisting arrest, when you do that, you have four options; pepper spray, baton, taser, or getting tackled by the officer(not recommended, they drop their knee into your back and most cops are 250+). The baton wasnt really an option in this case since its difficult to hit someone sitting in their vehicle. So it was pepper spray or taser. Of those two, I would pick taser anyday. It hurts like hell and puts you down for a minute and the tingling goes away after a while. But with pepper spray, you cant see or breath at first and it burns for hours. So when a cop points a taser at you and tells you to do something, you do it.

We do not live in a facist dictatorship, or a 'police state' like some nut jobs profess. However, a majority of the time the officer is doing their job professionally, they are there to help believe it or not.

If you are not doing anything wrong, or you made a mistake, then there places to redress those issues but not in front of a law enforcement official.

I've been exposed to CS gas (which is far worse than pepper spray), you will live through it.

Baton, Tazer, Gas (CS), or pepper spray... all are meant to drop you and others without killing you or others in case you do something stupid.

cs gas isn't that bad... you're exposed to tons of it in the army in order to develop a tolerance... american soldiers are trained to fight without mop gear in a battlefied saturated with cs...

as far as the ticket goes... the cop let me call a friend to get my car and wrote me up the ticket... i got my shit paid went to court and the whole thing was dropped... i guess it just depends on how the cop feels

it really does, I was speeding on the way back to see my (then fiance) wife. it was a 4 hour drive and was doing 56 in a 35 which in VA is reckless driving.

After explaining the situtation the officer took it down a few mph so it was no longer reckless. I was lucky plain and simple, paid my ticket online and now waiting for it drop from my record.

I knew I was getting a ticket, you can't argue with the officer but he can use discreation. It would have been a different story had I a broken taillight, suspended license, and a busted out window. Not just that, but be rude... and talk on the cell phone. I'm pretty sure that would have landed me with knee in my back and handcuffs.

I expect the officer to do what is necessary.

The women that got the tazer is luck she didnt get the cop from crash that like to demorilze women instead of shocking them

Doesn't this prove cops are getting more lazy to actually get the jobs done themselves? I mean It's just a woman (I'm guessing that she's not athletic) and they're two full-grown men, they could've restrained her without much casualties, and shouldn't tasers be used for jobs that need more help, but at least it's etter than a gun (barely).

Personally, while I think that it may be a bit excessive with the taser and all, I don't disagree that their decision to use the taser was wrong. I really wouldn't know how to handle a situation like that, if she was being disrespectful and ignoring what a police officer was telling her to do, and talking on a mobile phone.

No casualties were inflicted here, tasers don't kill but they shock the shit out of people. The shock will pass over time.

pulling her out of the car by force would probably injure her more, so a taser is most likely a better choice
