That's very true. One of my teachers told me that to do what Picasso did, you really have to know your basics, and that's something a lot of "artists" today are missing. They think that they just have to do some abstract bullshit and give some bullshit explanation to the piece and they are suddenly awesome, when they aren't even close to the level of the old masters. I don't really like the path Picasso chose (I prefer DaVinci or Michelangelo's work), but he definitely knew his stuff.Buzkashi wrote:You know who a good as hell artist was... Picasso. Ayanami: I think I mentioned this to Kether too, but it seems that you are going straight for the outline in your drawings. I highly recommend that you rough things out lightly before finalizing a drawing. Trust me on this one, it'll do wonders. Keep it up!
