    @ vashfanatic

Last October you were lamenting not having any more scanlated chapters of Naoki Urasawa’s “Yawara, A Fashionable Judo Girl” to read. Well, good news for you and other fans of Urasawa’s comedies. HappyScans! have been doing Happy! for a few months now, and they just announced that they are starting on Yawara! and expect to have some releases very soon.

    @ Evil-Genius guys

Thanks very much for the Zetman.

    @ stargood
I’m not sure whether advertising your own work on the site of another scanlation group is polite or not, but since you’re not directly competing for the same series I guess it’s OK.

In any case thank you for tackling Urasawa’s older series, it’s something we really needed. While not masterpieces like his more mature work (20th Century Boys, Pluto), they are certainly much above average.

Naoki Urasawa the mangaka I respect the most and probably the most prolific of the well-known ones, unlike you-know-who (yes, I’m referring to the creator of a certain dark fantasy manga).

PS. In case I misunderstood and you aren’t a member of HappyScans, I apologize in advance.

    […] *is* the mangaka […]

    @ random berserk fan

Yes, I am afraid that you did misunderstand and no, I am not a member of the HappyScans! group. So, apology accepted. 🙂 I posted about Yawara to let fellow poster here and consumer of Evil-Genius’ scans, vashfanatic, know about Yawara being picked up in case he still reads the postings here.

I also hold Naoki Urasawa in high regard. BTW, HappyScans! are also doing several not yet released in English works by Osamu Tezuka.

Ya’ll’re always welcome to post infos bout dem new mangas gettin scantimalated, as long as they aren’t shit (read: not generic trash shonen and the like).

  16. Phireo Says:

I would be really glad if Evil Genius picked up Detroit Metal City from where Scum-scans left.

  17. duoans Says:

    ……………….who the heck is buttobasu?

  19. miyagiCE Says:

Hah, that would be awesome, wouldn’t it? I’d be happy to supply scans and translations, but DPP and tsubai aren’t interested in the project. ;(
