   With deep sorrow I bid my final thanks to you EG for your efforts in scanlating Berserk manga, tremendous work, commitment, patience and consistency. You were only surpassed by Miura, except for consistency of course. Berserk is a bigger part of my life than I ever even thought, only to discover now that what I thought was never going to happen happened. The loss of Miura weighs heavy, farewell.

   Can’t believe I’m downloading possibly the last Berserk chapter from you guys. It’s been over 15 years since I started reading your scanlations. Thank you so much for introducing me to Berserk and other manga. Best of luck in all your future endeavors.

   Thank you for all of the work you have done over the years. I’ve been reading Beserk since it was translated by Band of the Hawk way back in the early volumes. I was always afraid that Miura would not live long enough to complete the story and I am very sad to find I ended up right.

   Once more, thank you for all of the work over the years. I wish you success in any future endeavors.

   I have been an avid reader since the 90’s I am sad to see that this might be the end. I have enjoyed this work more than any other work in my lifetime. Thank evilgenius for the translations if this is farewell. I am thankful I got to enjoy such a tremendous work. Best wishes to everyone!

    wow… this makes me sad. I was always worried that this would happen, but it was nonetheless still a great work that Miura has created for us. Thank you Evil-genius for your continued devotion to Berserk for all these years.

    Like everyone else, I just wanted to say thank you for all your efforts over the years. I’ve been following Berserk since the 97 anime and the manga as well you everyone here at EG since the early 2000s. Its been a hell of a ride a lot of patience was needed for all the emotions we able to experience during this masterpiece. Thank You EG once again I wish you all the best of luck in your futures.

    Thank you very much for your commitment over all these years.

    Berserk has been a very important part of my life, especially when I was going through very dark times. Not so dark as Gatsu 😉

    And of course, Kentaro Miura, I will always remember you.

    Im really gratefull of all the hard work EG has put on all its work, been following since early to mid 2k, looking at other scanlating groups come and go it really talks about the passion and commitment to the manga world u ppl have to be around for such a long time, even with rl getting in the way sometimes.
    May the gods watch over your paths ahead on life

    I still refuse to believe that nothing about the rest of the story is known…there must be something that can help piece together Miura-san’s final vision…but if it is the absolute final chapter of Berserk, I won’t stray from EG; I’m here to stay. Berserk is one of the true loves of my life, thanks to your inimitable spirit and talent master Miura

    Will never forget the time in which I went with a friend of mine to see what the latest manga was during our days off from school. The shopkeeper gave us a video of Berserk OAV 1997. From the minute I had watched it, I was completely hooked. Had scoured the web for any manga scanlations and stumbled upon #evil-genius. Would like to say thank you #evil-genius for everything that you have done over the years. Waiting for the next scanlation of Berserk. Just a little emotional about it. Miura san’s death, shocked me as his work has influenced people around the world. Now, a piece of me will feel a bit empty on his unfinished work. There will never be any closure on the story. I am still grateful for all the good things and times to have waited on for the next chapter to be published. Thank you for all the hard work you guys have put through. Thank you for the labor of love to wait and scan for all of the fans. Thank you for everything you guys have done. Thank you again.

    i don’t know why but i keep checking as i did all these years beetween breaks. As if Miura’s passing was just a bad dream. We know that his masterpiece will be left unfinished and that hurts even more. He had promised he would complete it no matter what. I guess life had other plans.

    RIP Miura, you and your work will be greatly missed…

    Also thank you Evil Genius for making the story available to countries that there was no release of the manga. In Greece we only had up to the 5th volume. We never got anything further and if it weren’t for you it would be really difficult to follow the story. So thank you again.

    @Annarek Ikr, i have the habit of clicking my “Manga” bookmark folder and opening all the pages to see what’s new and EG is the first one on the list. I’m just glad to see the site is still up.

    @Vasily This last chapter truly does feel like the end, the last pages imo sums up what we all feel after reaching this point reading Berserk; i guess we were dreaming all along only to wake up and have the feeling leave us at the drop of a tear…

    Started reading about 15-16 years ago. Remember going for straight 13+ hours of binge reading in the beginning.
    Now as a grown up man in a different stage of my life I’ve been keeping up to date with scanlations while simultaneously buying the volumes released in my area – 32 currently and 33/34 preordered.
    Thank you for your dedication throughout these years and good luck on future endeavours.

    Over the years I’ve made a habbit of off visiting your site for my dose of struggling. When you guys first picked up the series I wasn’t sure about it, but you made me stay until today. I’m late at reading this chapter because I still can’t believe Miura-sensei’s passing, but that’s the way we do it right? We have to keep going forward. As these words of another great work says…

    Berserk is one of my fav 3 mangas. I feel I’ve been with you guys since so long . Things will always change but I will always be gratefull for thos scanlations.
