"Plans for a Powerpuff Girls anime were announced at the Tokyo Animation Fair. A joint venture between Toei Animation, Aniplex, and Cartoon Network, the new project will be tentatively titled "Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z." Posters from the booth can be seen on AV Watch here and here."
Nice way of taking a stylized american show and turning it into generic anime bullshit...
Shits. First, a William Hung movie, and now this. What has the world come to?
I don't think half the toilet seats in the world are as clean as I should like; and only half of those are half as clean as they deserve. - tsubaimomo, July 26, 2010 3:00 am
Why in the hell would they want to bastardize Power Puff Girls! That's sad. Oh, I guess it's to get us back for what we did with Power Rangers *shrugs*.

I hated all powerrangers, and never really watched powerpuff girls, but not sure if it would turn out right being done in Japan. I mean in general stuff is best in its own country or in its original form, becase that is what it was designed for, an anime style version woudl I think ruin some of the charm of the show.
Ok either that is a big joke, or this is like a copyright infringment. Although I would love to see something like that on WB. Why? Because IT'S F***ING EXTREME!

That was f-ing EXTREME! Those lines are classic man, good stuff. Thanks.
Bugs is awesome. Seriously, I still laugh when I watch Looney Tunes, there is no need to go and rape the character like that. Why not just create something new for a change?
I was seriously pissed when I first heard the news...

That is the thing, I don't think they can make any thing new with the old character that would be as funny as his original stuff. I mean, have you seen Space Jam and the like.
I would love for new Bugs stuff that really puts the life back into him as well, I just don't think it is going to happen.

I care about looney toons just cause I grew up with it, and honestly they are an important part of being a child, plus the old ones are by far the best. The old ones actually had an adult target audience, but masked so children woudl enjoy it too. They were originally played before the feature presentation, which was adult, so therefore they woudl target that audience. Later in thier history it began to target kids more, but like all great animation for kids, it also targets adults still. That is what new animation lacks, the adult humor hidden in there. Scooby Doo is kinda of all though. I know he is not looney toon, but that cartoon is the best to me.
