Jump Superstars!

Ok so last I mentioned there is a Japanese video game coming out for the Nintendo DS called Jump Superstars! This game will feature characters from Shonen Jump Comics including Death Note's very own Raito Yagami and Ryuuku. Superstars! is going to be a fighting game much like that of Super Smash Bros. It will have a four man, free for all battle in various locations of the Shonen Jump universe. The mechanics of the game are very simplistic. You have strong and weak attacks as well as special moves just like your typical fighter, but what sets this game apart from the rest is the unique card system known as the "Manga Deck." Using the bottom touch screen you can select various cards in your deck to bring about various powers to aid in combat. These cards can help summon characters to aid in the fight or they can be used to swap out characters or even boost your fighter's speed. It is yet unknown as to who all the cast of fighters will be, but I will keep you updated when more information comes in.

Hm, sound interestings, but the chances of me ever playing it are pretty low. I don't own a DS, and don't plan on buying one. Nor do I know anyone who has plans too. If anyone plays it, let us know how it is.

Well, that is, if anyone's doing it as a project anyway. I seriously doubt it for now though. But a GBA emulator was already out before the GBA hit the stores...

I heard about this game. Funny thing is, I heard Yu Gi Oh's in this too. Can't wait to play as Naruto (grown up?) or Luffy.

What I dont get is how Raito will play in this. I mean he doesnt have any powers besides the death note. Maybe theyll give him a scythe or something..
