Elder Scrolls games from Bethesda
I loved Morrowind and the expansion packs and in anticipation for oblivion, I've been trying to find the old games aside from arena and daggerfall which I have. Anyone know where to find them to buy?

Hmm, Morrowind was great until it revealed itself as one giant boredom therapy game. Sure the story was great, and the background story is great, but really all the side quests are just "go there, get that, kill this person" and sometimes it's so easy it's not understandable why the person who gives you the mission doesn't just do it himself.

Yea but there was a way to make you see as i recall. Well i think this pair of robes i had gave an enchanment like an anitcurse or something that got rid of the blindness partially. But all in all my guy kicked ass. The thing that ruined the game for me was that i stopped playing it for a while and tryed to comebakc but had forgotten everything i hade done.. And everything i needed to do. The last thing i remeber was trying to become the horrator of each house.

Heh, you could use all those items which gave you some huge bonus and a huge flaw easily, just create a spell that does "Resist Magicka 100%" for 2 or 3 seconds, then put on the item. You would get the bonus, but resist the flaw, and once you had it on the flaw would not reappear.
The thing that finally killed morrowind for me was the knowledge that I could become ridiculously powerful even as a starting character far too easily.

It's when you know where the key items are and how to get them easily that making a new character becomes too easy. One thing that killed me was when I found the sword of white woe in a couple guard towers and I could easily steal it. For that early on in the game, it was a kickass sword. Anyone still play? I'm just curious as to what characters you have/had and what your best equipment was. I started a High Elf Custom Class that's basically a mage and let me tell you, it's pretty damn hard. I'm majoring in alchemy, destruction, illusion and some other stuff and I didn't pick the sign of stunted magicka. My friend was trying to tell me yesterday to do this "breton + the 2x magika and stunted magika sign... the sign makes you absorb magic, so just go get an item that cast spells on you and viola, free mana". If you actually take the time and try to play characters like Argonian Thiefs, see how easy that is and let me tell you, it's impossible.

Naughty boy, where did you get the daedric pauldrons? Went off killing story characters, didya?
I have two chars, one warrior, who finished the entire game including the expansions, and one mage, whom I stopped playing.
I generally didn't go with standard artifacts, because they didn't suit me. I got a suit of daedric armour that gives me 2 pts. life regen and some minor stat boosts, but also a shield that gives me +80 strength or so.
Weaponwise I use a daedric war axe with life absorption on it, or a daedric battle axe with life absorption.
My mage just flies and casts spells, mostly life absorption, although once I get her a bit further she'll have items that boost her artifact skill to 140, and then use a staff of life absorption that casts for one charge and will have 400 chargers. the perfect magic machine gun
.
However, seeing as I don't play the game anymore, she'll probably never get that far.
