But then again, I don't think anyone would dare do that to the Shenmue community- I imagine they can get a bit over-zealous, possibly e-violent.

they should remake the first game. i cant find it and i dont have a DC. But a third game would be nice...

They are, according to the article, going to include chapter 1-16 of the Shenmue saga, that is, all of it.

Shenmue was chapter one, Shenmue II chapter 3 through 6. They skipped chapter two.

So it is more a case of "Shenmue" rather than "Shenmue III".

Xbox 360 seems like a likely alternative, especially with Microsoft wanting all "japanese" support they can get- then again, Shenmue 2 wasn't exactly a smash hit for the original Xbox.

I, personally, would love to see it on the 360- more than enough incentive for me to buy the console, with no less than two American McGee games, Halo 3 and whatnot. By the way, do you know where I may find some sailors?

Have not played Shenmue for a long time. I just have the first one on DC. I will probably get it for the 360. Just another reason for me to get one.

Probably the most deserving candidate of the title "best game ever" out there- it's nowhere near perfect, but I can think of no other game that covers as much proverbial ground as Shenmue.

Quoted for pointlessness! You can't even compare GTA with Shenmue. They're completely different games. GTA is just a bunch of fun with senseless violence. There's not much of a story in any of the games, no sense of community and for the love of god you use guns. Shenmue is the opposite of what i just listed.

GTA really isn't a great game, but it is very popular and fun to play nonetheless. Now Shenmue IS a great game but it never became popular.

Dont disgrace the name of Shenmue by comparing it to commersiel shit like GTA....

Shemue 1 and 2 is one of the best game ever made and the only time i have ever played DC.

Hope they will realese it for PS3.

The controls aren't great but that's partially why it's fun to play. You just go around shooting people and run the rest over with your car/truck/tank/gundam ......

I went through a little GTA modding phase ... a while back.

I've only really played GTA 3 and Vice City. You play one, you've played them all. I haven't even beaten Vice City.

I got shocked and angry when i saw that shitty game topped the top ten ps2 list a while back.
