J2 Cool: It's good to know that somebody here knows about squash and stretch, it's pretty good when he lands, but I'm missing a single frames where he settles. I can't remember how many frames the whole thing was, but you can advance frames in quicktime if you really want to know. And yeah, the secondary motion in the cape came out really good, but if you pay attention to the hair only, your realize how poorly it was done in comparison. I got away with it though, because it's a really fast action and the cape detracts from it. And, I mentioned this before, but those drawings were colored in Photoshop. Anyways, I'm re-uploading the second vid for you, but I'll warn you, it's isn't really animation, it's more like a bunch of stills moving around the screen. I'm working on a real piece of animation now, I'll probably upload it when I have something less rough.
Starnum: Yeah, I remember seeing the pencil version of that drawing, it's come a long way since then. You know how I feel about anime-like artwork but it still looks as good as it did back then. The coloring is good too, but you can tell it's unfinished. The shading on the face looks much more completed when compared to the body. I'm really curious to see how this turns out, but if this guy puts as much work on the body as he did in the face, then I'm sure we can expect good things.
I wish I had better Photoshop skillz.
