And now we see that Guts is way more important factor than we thought. He and Zod have managed to defeat the Emperor in his cloud form, while Griffith could not lay a finger on him, he merely held him in a stalemate using wind elementals.

Griffith has more different powers (flying, dodging arrows destroying cannonballs with a glance) while Gut's only true specialty right now is destroying astral beings, but he does that way better than Griffith. (Or so it seems).
What is good?-Whatever augments the feeling of power, the will to power, power itself, in man.
What is evil?-Whatever springs from weakness.
What is happiness?-The feeling that power increases-that resistance is overcome.
