Ferrofluids - magnetic fluids that can look spectacular. They're made from nanoscale magnetic particles suspended in a liquid. The spectacular sculpture in the video below is made using a ferrofluid and electromagnets.

Sleep apnea is where you stop breathing momentarily while sleeping. That dog probably suffers from narcolepsy or cataplexy. Cataplexy is really interesting, I saw a video of a kid that suffered from it and when people made him laugh he hit the floor.
