In my eyes (and i know I'm not in "the circle") but just from observing all you guys over the years while I've been a member, this board reflects exactly on Berserk. Watered down and lost it's fire. I remember if someone made a dumbass post like Muira is dead he would be immensly flamed then banned without remorse. But, that's life right? I mean c'mon, has anyone seen Necromancer in the last 6 months?? Where'd all the badasses go?? Even Femto has laid off for a while now...sad days these are...sad.

People say its bad to live in the past...but at least everyone was alive then. (and that's not about the board, it's about life)

EDIT: I told my friend at school that Berserk was cancelled and she almost shit herself. I had a good laugh but I had to run for my life when I told her I was kidding! Not really, we were sitting but she looked like she wanted blood. ^_^

Lately, the idiocy level around here has gone up. I am not going to blame any newcomers, because we get dumbasses in here all the time. So maybe TheDrizzit is right and the regulars have gotten soft. I frequent this site because the regulars dont let things get out of hand like they do on other forums, so I hate to see the path the site is heading down right now.

Well, if you think the idiocy level is high here, visit other forums. Stupid threads are alright, but look at how many posts people make for one thread here, compared to how many new threads are made. On other forums you will find pages full of new threads of people asking the same old stupid questions. At least we can restrict ourselves to few threads here, and threads live for a while.

Basically all online social interaction is at it's essence stupid. However, at least here the stupidity isn't rampant, and most of what is stupid here is quite amusing. Granted the Starnum vs Femto thread should be locked by now, but the Guts vs Norris thread made me chuckle. Try NarutoFan or BleachForums and you will see what stupid forums are.

Also, a lot of this right now is caused by Miura not releasing, and consequently we're all somewhat bored, and haven't got much actual Berserk related stuff to talk about at the moment. On the other hand, even if the actual subjects of the threads are kind of stupid, I don't think you can say the same about most of the posters. It generally at least manages to stay amusing/interesting, which is a huge step up from some other forums. Here we at least manage to weed at the true idiots and obnoxious people.

That's exactly what I think , I only had like 3 months here and its kinda weird not having a new Berserk chapter to talk , blame Miura ( joking ) at least those meanigless threads keeps this forum alive . But I had to admit that the Gatts vs Chuck Norris thread went to far . lol

Well, I try to free the Berserk forum from shit like that. Mainly because this place is sacred. Some discussions, however, has gone off track with beers and stuff, which is to be understood, since you can't discuss one chapter for 2 months or more. Lack of Berserk chapters means lack of relevant discussion.

As Istvan said, the idiots are weeded out as early as possible to maintain the standard. Felony was one of those first poster idiots who we flamed to death, but he came back on and is now a regular. He adapted to this place. So while first impressions are important, it doesn't mean anyone's branded for life because they made a stupid first post.

Brainpiercing and Sortep are right about the degree in idiocy in other forums, Narutofans in particular. They have a forum dedicated to idiocy. That's just one of the many. Remember Wyrven (or whatever his name was)? He was from Narutofan. Idiocy cannot be killed or destroyed, but we try to minimise it here in this forum. Quite effectively, might I add.

But this little piece of bad news is NOT going to ruin my day/month! Cause now, after years of waiting, I finally hold in my hands my first few volumes of Dark Horse Berserk!!! BWAHAHAHA!!! Albeit those first few volumes are actually volumes 4, 5, 7 and 8, but nevertheless, BWAHAHAHAHA!!! And now, I am going to read it, and I will not worry about at least a month-long wait for a new chapter, and so long suckers!

The title is 'don't mind me, I'm a dumbass'. At first, it was just given to n00bs who fucked up. Nowadays, the custom title is accompanied with a ban or suspension.
