Now...what if that child on the beach was Gatts and Casca son's soul? I was thinking about that the other day...Griffith got his body, but his soul was ... dislocated...

Yeah, whatever...was just some bizarre speculation...

Wait, I'm confused. What happened to Griffith's soul? :?

His soul was (with his body) on the interstice. When he came to our plane, his soul entered the child's body.

This part was always unclear to me, so let me rethink it:

1. Griffit becomes the God-Hand Femto, his body and soul now exist in Vortex.
2. The Egg apostle swallows Gutts' and Caska's child; the child's body is the vessel from which Femto can manifest himself in Mortal world and the Egg apostle is the one who will bring him down from Vortex.

Now, I understand that the child's soul was replaced buy Femto's, and that it was either destroyed or moved somewhere else. But I still don't get that part with Griffit's soul... :(

what part dude?

anyway, as i see it...
griffith decided to separate his soul from the child so that he didn't have any feelings left for caska... and gave the kid separate body

They didn't mean YOU are the flamer, but that you will BE flamed. 'When is the next chapter going to appear', 'where can I download old chapters', 'where can I get anime episodes', 'is there a season two', etc. all of these questions are answered in the Berserk FAQ. You should have read both forum FAQ and the Berserk one before posting anything here. :RTF:

And for your information, there is no season two, nor there is much chance that there will ever be season two.

I understand that you quite possibly can't type in English properly, but I will assume you are able to at least read and understand the language, however minimal.

When you sign up, there will be some terms and agreements that you have agreed to. One of those points include:

Image

As highlighted, you should have noticed this if you had actually read the terms and conditions, once you have submitted your registration. It is not typed in Shakespearian, it's actually quite clear and concise; written in terms that are easily understood.

I have utmost confidence in you that you could navigate through the forums. Considering that you are able to find this stickied thread, I presume that you should be able to find another thread that is a sticky: the FAQ. Which stands for Frequently Asked Questions, if I'm not mistaken.

Image

The FAQ answers the most frequent questions that had been asked in the past, and we do not wish to see those questions again. If you have read it, or searched through the article with the word 'anime', then you would have obtained your answer quite easily within a second.

Image

The purpose of this thread is to address questions and discussions about the story of Berserk that has been discussed in the forums in the past. Not those answered in the FAQ, or questions related to how to obtain the manga or anime via the internet, or when the next chapter is out. Usually, I refuse to dignify those questions with a response. Or I flame.

Seriously, do I have to write an FAQ to people about how to read and use the FAQ? And also, I wasn't born in an English speaking country, along with around half of the members at this forum.

Where did the idea that Griffith's soul entered the child come from? I assumed the fetus was deformed by the exposure to the events of the Eclipse, and Griffith's rape of Caska, but I never got the idea that any part of Griffith had actually posessed the baby.

Does Guts's brand usually burn when in the presence of the child? I can't recall offhand, but I don't know when they might have encountered it away from the usual hungry ghosts.

Was that in 14, when the little mutant gets loose? I'd have to go back and look, 'cause it's been a loooong time since I read those.

The only time I remember Griffith and an egg was the egg that Femto emerges from, which I don't think was related in any way to Caska (and at any rate, happened before Griffith/Femto got his slimy claws on her). 14 doesn't hit the States for a couple months, though, and I've been avoiding any re-reads of the early scans in order to more fully enjoy the print version when I get it.

I see...well then, there was that wierd egg apostle who wanted a perfect world. When hell is loose in Albion at the tower (inquisition and everything) the little guy comes to save Caske, and gets hurt. The egg apostle comes out and swallows him, and inside he evolves into newborn Griffith. The end...hope I didn't give you any spoiler.

At least this is the only reason I can think of.

Griffith's soul was reborn through the taint he left on Gatts and Casca's child. This was necessary because Griffith's soul was bound to the vortex when he was transformed into Femto.

Meanwhile, the Egg Apostle's power to grant others their wish granted the child a new, clean body so that it could get closer to its mother and father, as it desired.

At a guess.

I dont really think that his power is to grant wishes, as much as to change/charge them with the evil, he is trying to make a perfect world and to him that is one without humans in it. or it could just be that he's crazy and wants to either commit suicide or end the world, you never really know.

The Egg apostle cannot grant wishes. I just reread the chapter and he says that he was granted a wish when he summoned God-hand, and that wish is to be the egg of a perfect world.

Anyway, the child still remains a mystery.

The child is only a mystery to the fans who require scientific method to prove his identity. To the faith-based community, he's already Gatt's little boy.

something i have been wondering about the kid is,
How are we so sure that he is gutts kid and not griffith?
Correct me if im wrong but the length of time between the time that gutts made love with caska and the sacrificial ceremony
wasnt that long, only a couple days.
and after the sacrificial ceremony gutts was unconcious for a week if im not mistaken.... so how are we 100% sure that its guts kid?
