There's another thing though. I actually recall something on a medical show (a true one) where there was this prison inmate who would purposely shove things down his urethra to get into the hospital. He did this regularly.
And it never caused anything besides excruitating pain. I am aware of internal male anatomy (thank you bio class), but I still doubt that's possible.

It can cause infection, which is in part where the pain comes in. Men do get stuff stuck up there and it can break off and perforate the penis, which I assume is pretty damn painful. But then again, people get prince albert's so it can't be too bad can it?
