Actually, I live in MD, so yes, I have to fly out. But it bothers me none. I like TX & have friends there. Besides, I've never been to a con' & have always wanted to go, so wth? Let my friends see what a geek I am I love Amano's work & what better excuse to buy shit I shouldn't be spending money on!? hah

I've gone Otakon and Katsucon from 1997-2002, both are right next to you Starlore. Baltimore and Crystal City, wish I had known you earlier would have invited ya to come along. Had lots of fun. After awhile though it became more about con-related hijinks than anime. They stopped showing fansubs and it started being more commericial.
Seriously though I live in Cali and I wouldnt fly out to Texas if they reincarnated Piccasso.
