thats what i thought whenever i hear revy's voice for the 1st time in any ep. there is something very distinct about the voice that makes me think this character's outlook on life is "everything's pointless".Brainpiercing wrote:Black Lagoon 6.
I have to say that Levy would really be a poor character without that great voice acting. She'll probably totally die in any dub.
its a tiresome, dismal tone to it.

The story is nothing new right now. Monsters come to eat humans, and some people fight them (with swords). There's some magic, and some monsters even look vaguely berserk-like
.
Really the only disappointing thing is the action animation, because you get the typical anime bright slashes instead of actually animating the sword swings, etc.

The TMNT ran in English in Singapore when I was there many years ago, and I think they'd have run subbed if they had been Japanese - or would they?
Possibly though there are even many versions of those, because I used to see far more mature comics of them around than the usual kiddy shit that made up the show.

we dont show much anime on the local channels but anime like one piece, digimon and pokemon showing here are the US dubbed one.
its only during some special anime festival or whatnot do they show subbed anime.
for japanese tv shows, it varies. the drama serials are dubbed in chinese for the chinese channel. the news channel has this 'japan hour' show in japanese and its subbed in english.

Because Rose de Versailles needed a sequel:
18th Century, just before the French revolution, multiple religious cults of the dark side were engaged in secret maneuvers under the name of Revolution.
"Le Chevalier D'Eon" (Knight D'Eon) a diplomat and a special agent working for Louis XIV, is fighting against those cults, and also on a mission to find the killer of his own sister. A mysterious cult organization called “Rose Cross” stands in his way, using vicious powers to create a dark creature, “Gargoyle” to over take Europe....
Based on a true person, I´m looking forward to it actually.

i finally got to tokko, black lagoon and im about to watch a few others. i like black lagoon so far, although it may think its cooler than it actually is. it has some great animation and i like the whole randomosity of some parts of it. im going to watch more before i make more judgments though. i like tokko, and since i just finished gto, im in the mood. a little creepy with the sis com so far, but im looking forward to watching more of it.
i also watched 3 or 4 ep. of nana. please, nobody watch it. it is exactly the same as it's already unimpressive comic. actually i think its a little worse. it lacks the intimacy that even the comic has.

a friend of mine just rented disc 1 of crying freeman. i thought it was pretty decent. but discs 2 and 3 are nowhere to be found for us to rent or download. i was wondering if anyone has seen 2 and 3. i checked them out online and there are several factors that make the two seem iffy. i don't want to go in on purchasing them if they suck. i heard that Darkhorse had picked up the manga, but i haven't really heard any reviews about it from reputable sources. if anyone has any info to offer about either the anime or the manga, i'd be grateful. i mean, y'all like Berserk so you must have good taste in matters such as these
