Portugal players and the ref turned a interesting second half to something ugly.

Its a shame the dutch fell for the trap.

i have only one team that i want to lose and thats argentina. i cant stand how they play so dirty and get away with it. like in game vs mexico, the argentinian pushes a mexican "falls down" and the mexican gets a yellow card. also their fakes are so exagerated, they probably have a faking injury coach or something

Well frankly, I haven't seen any team that doesn't have players faking for nothing.

Yeah funny, but sad because they really don't need a coach for faking.

It's been in soccer forever, but 10 years ago replays and camera positioning weren't that good, so it wasn't that obvious. Personally when I see one of those fakes replayed like 3 times, the player looks like a total fool, I guess they don't see theses and think they are badasses for fooling the referee.

Problem is, referee doesn't see that, give a good free kick to the player, and kids who see this just copy it thinking it's cool. I know somebody that plays in french 4th division (which means nothing is at stake, really), and three time these season they had to rely on cops to get out of the field unscathed.

Ecuador is out.

It wasn't unexpected.

I was happy to hear that we played a fairly good game and lost by a single goal.

PS: I couldn't watch the game.

Good Game???

It was the most boring and worst playoff game in recent history!!!

So many simple mistakes by both teams that you thougt it was a game beteween kids not world class players....

Ecaudor i expected more of,they played shitty when they were one goal like they didnt care about losing.

3-1!!!!
I thought it would either be 3-0 for Spain or 1-0 for us, wrong again.

One of the best game I've seen, very open, opportunities form both sides and lots of ball circulation, good officiating (favorable to us I must said, I'm a little disgruntled with Henry's fake that gave us that free kick leading to the 2nd goal. Sad in a game that was overall very fairplay). But tHis team is not the one we saw earlier, lots of energy, Ribery is kicking serious asses. Strong defense as usual (Sagnol!), and as Libaax pointed out ZZ did slow down the game but his impact on the match was great.

And hey, we won. Now Brasil!

The only French player that is playing good offensivly is Ribery and their slow game are ruining the world greatest striker and my fav.

I dont understand why they cant let him have a free role like in Arsenal and run all over the place thats when he is the best, not when he is a target that is crying for balls.

So of course i wanna stop this torture of a legendary player and hope Brazil finishes them off fast for his sake.

Well I don't follow soccer that much. But usually what happend in national teams is different of what happend in the club. Jacquet did that in 1998, a lots of players (Thuram) weren't satisfy with their positioning but they played that way nonetheless. I guess it's the same for all selections because of the heavy competition for each spot.

Maybe the french selection is not adapted to Henry. It's very likely if you comapre his efficiency in club and in the french team! But I remember him, when he was willing to play on the left side, he was lethal, with Trezeguet in the center. I think the coach choosed to make this team ZZ team, and not Henry. Arsenal seems to be Henry's team now. It works for them, but maybe we don't have the players who can play that way. Eventually Henry will find his place in this selection, maybe against Brazil!

The coach in 98 was clever which was why Henry scored three goals from the wing and thats where he should play now and Trez up top, i mean Malouda and co are shit compared to Henry.

If you are the world greatest striker the team must be adapted to you and not some old timer like Zidane which is why Brazil will run all over France.
