I wouldn't make a thread about this if I were you. It is lame to analyze stuff like this because Dragonslayer is a fictional weapon.

Ya, I joined a long time ago but never posted anything. I had joined so I could use the Direct Downloads, lol, since I had bittorrent ports blocked from my shitty ISP at the time.

Never to late to start posting, one of the reasons we do direct-downloads, to increase forum traffic and get people communicating.

well Im "new" to this forum usually Im here for the berserk direct download section but now I just cant find this thread.

Follow the clues, there is a thread in the Berserk forum about where to find said thread and, you can find this mythical thread in the Interstice as well, hidden away from those who are not logged in.

Hi, um I wanted to make my own thread but I keep hearing I shouldn't so I'll post it here first just to get permission. I simply want to introduce myself to the board first, then I want to thank everyone for such a great board and such...that sound good? Hell I've already written it already.

...oh and where's my sig? Not allowed one yet or somethin?

you need to upload your sig to another picture host like photobucket.
and then link it from here.

or do you mean you dont even have a box to put your sig in?

Hello Sarahofborg, welcome to the forums.

Exactly what Quest said about the signatures. As for starting topics, I doubt that you could anyway if you wanted to, there's a 10-post limit before you could generate a thread on your own.

Remember, if anything's screwed up around here, blame Femto first and work up the food chain later. Always blame Buzkashi second.

Ah, I see. I figured since the upload feature was there it would work, but no problem I can use imageshack

And I'll bide my 10 posts, but I guess that means I should post my intro here, even though few are likely to read it.

So, um, I'm new here *sqiurms.* Brand spanking new. In fact, I just found out this site existed today, and it's a good thing cause I *NEEDED* chapter 31 scanlations.
I've barely gotten my feet wet here. Actually, I'm no stranger to message boards at all (right now I can also be found at the adultswim.com board) and have posted on them basically half my life (and I'm no kid.)

But moving on, here's some info on me. I got into Berserk the anime maybe 2 years ago, and started the manga but kind of got bored because they were the same story. Nonetheless I knew a lot of Berserk fans who read the manga and said I HAD to give it another chance.
And so when I finnally had the time, like a week ago I picked it up again from volume SEVEN. Yhea, I just read like 23 volumes in a week. I'm all caught up now, and hooked.
But I'm still damed new to it all, so please don't eat me. I'm following as best I can, but Berserk is sure a complex story and there are probably parts I didn't get perfectly the first time. I can't be the only one.
So that's me, and Berserk. I'm a huge anime fan outside of Berserk, and I have a life too somewhere inbetween.

Er, dam I'm confused. I confess I'm not good with HTMl and such. I put the image online, went to my signature preferance, used the "img" tags, put in the url from Imageshack, previewed and everything but it's still not showing up in my posts, even though the preview worked.

You might wanna go in «profile» «your profile» «profile settings » and make sure that the «Always attach my signature» option is at ON.

It might just be a settings problem

You might also want to make sure that you have "Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile)" checked while you're making posts. I think it starts off and once you click it on it remembers this preference. It's down underneath the main body form for the post, and under spellcheck, along with Disable BBCode in this post and Disable Smilies in this post.

I know you worked a bit to figure it out, however... I need you to review the rules again (that you agreed to when you registered). The animation is allowed however, your signature must conform to what listed here:

Hmmm, seems to follow the rules, in terms of file size and dimensions. I read all the rules but I didn't memorize them. I just noticed that no one else had animated sigs.
...oh wait I see, it's a few pixles too high

Dam, I can't change it though. I'll have to make a new sig. For now I'll just have my usual quote.

I guess i should have done that before, but i took a long time lurking around to truly recognize the greatness of this board.

so first of all, thank you guys very much for your great work!

then, like all of you here i'm a total fan of berserk! an american guy showed me the manga a year ago in germany where i was having a summer class. at the time i was reading gunm and thought i was underground...

i was like "yeah whatever..." and now i'm totally addicted! i was re-reading it lately, and i just started paying attention to all the details and deepness of the story... wow that is just great.

well, i'll try to contribute as well as i can here

hoping i'll know how!
