Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006
Direct download.
Torrent.
It's a 112MB video and I won't say anything else.
Just download it and see for yourself.
PS: It's worth every byte.

It looks that way, unfortunately.psi29a wrote:No go sir, no torrent file or direct download, perhaps they are swamped?
It's a good thing I downloaded the torrent file, even though I got the video directly.
I uploaded here, but I don't know how good that service is or how long it'll say up.
Enjoy.
EDIT: I just realized that the tracker is probably down as well. Damn.
EDIT: Site is back up, it seems. Download quickly!

I don't know if you really liked it or not, but you probably should considering it has a pirate baby.psi29a wrote:Got it, watched with killfile, we both have no words.
This needs to be watched on a projection screen, 5.1 audio, on acid... entertainment for an entire weekend.
I've seen it a few times already and it's just an amazing short. I didn't catch the Chun-Li and Megaman parodies the first time through either, so I'm discovering new things with each consecutive viewing.
If you start to think about it, and if you've played enough arcade games, you'll realize that the guy pretty much nailed every aspect of one.
He must be a huge Metal Slug fan.
I think the site is up again, so the direct download link I posted should work.

Affirmative, coming down around 300k/s
EDIT: Wow. That was insane and amazing. I'd have to agree - I was obviously not on enough mind-altering substances to enjoy that completely. I think I found an avatar to use in there though.

But that's why it's so great, because that's how a beat 'em up really is.LordMune wrote:I enjoyed it, but the standard moves of the main characters grew stale after the first two minutes or so.
If you stop and think about it, you can see that the guy really put some effort into making it feel like a video game.
The fact that it's pixel art just takes it one step further.
I hope a full resolution version of the video pops up somewhere soon.

That was fucking great, although for some unknown reason I have to incredible urge to play Metal Slug..... wierd . There was some wicked stuff in there, this guy gets a big from me. I wish ther ewas a game where I could enter my opponents into a world of pain.
P.S. - I noticed in the Boxing Ring alien fight there were some Capcom based aliens, I got Chun-Li and Mega Man, but who is ther 3rd one? It kind of reminds me of someone from Power Stone, but I only played the game a few times.

Just finshed watching this. Just noticed it was made by an Australian. Props to Melbourne. No wonder they were shooting down Channel 7. Because they really suck. It was like a dream come true watching those two shoot down those executives poofs.

Hahaha, just noticed the guy said this video was funded by the City of Melbourne. Mayor So, you're a pretty cool guy.
I love the zombie babies popping out of the womb. I was just laughing my head off. I'll watch it again when I have time.

It's good to see that most of you are enjoying this, it really is one impressive piece of animation.
Eldo, if you can explain some of the Australian references in there, I could kiss your butt. Is Channel 7 hated by everyone? Why is it so?

I was thinking about that too. He seems familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. He could be this guy, but I don't even know his name or what game he's from. Powerstone maybe?Tempest wrote:P.S. - I noticed in the Boxing Ring alien fight there were some Capcom based aliens, I got Chun-Li and Mega Man, but who is ther 3rd one?
