The one you are trying to upload is probably too big. Avas must be at or below 300 pixels tall by 150 pixels wide. Anything bigger, even by 1 pixel, won't work.

Post by mrbright »

here is my fan art. although i gotta admit this one is kinda old. You can pretty much guess what i was modeling this after. sword and hand were modeled and rendered in 3ds max.background was a combination of pianting and photmanip. There was somebody else on the skullknight forums who had some reall great 3d work I hope he posts here too.

I think mrbright posted that in the wallpaper thread many eons ago.

But it's still awesome, nevertheless.

More art please, if this actually kicks off, we can have a contest of some sort.

Yeah, posted it almost exactly a year ago.

In an old wallpaper thread

And Devil_Dante brought up how he used another pre-existing wallpaper as a reference.

I like parts of the sword wallpaper but the hand bothers me quite a bit. The specular on the hand makes it look 100% like plastic to me, not to mention its not really shown in the direction of the light source.
Another thing is I can see the blue fill light on the hand, could/should be tones down, its supposed to fill in unseen areas but only softly, you're not really supposed to see a full saturation of the color.
Last issue that is prominant to me is the bandage on the hand. Its not a game model, use the extra polys and extrude it, it'll look so much better even if the edges of it aren't frayed, how it is now its just colors blending into each other, dont look like something is wrapping the hand.

I'm a big fan of Berserk, and thought I'd do a quick sketch of Casca in my style.

Me jealous of so much talent. I like the style, it is more europeanish but it's refreshing.
So far all the pieces that have been posted here were quality, you people rock.

I like the Casca pic a lot jac-k. One of the best I have seen on the forum. Then again I am biased towards Casca very much so.

I really like when people use their own styles when drawing anime characters, that one is awsome.
