Spider-man's new costume + travesty on pg. 2

Just read 529. Apparently, the costume has a bunch of neat stuff. One includes kevlar vest and also ability to glide short distances, like Spider Woman. And also, it looks shit.

I don't think half the toilet seats in the world are as clean as I should like; and only half of those are half as clean as they deserve. - tsubaimomo, July 26, 2010 3:00 am

I threw this in chat already, but I'm posting this here for the rest of the masses. I don't feel like looking for the Spider-Man movie thread and this thread is about Spidey's costume anyway, so yeah.

Is that just a monochrome Spidey image, or is he actually using a black costume?
Discuss.

Well, who's to say that they'll actually use the Venom costume as we know it?Libaax wrote:About it being the black suit the one that looks like Venom's.
Its very clearly that it isnt that suit its just his normal costume you can see that on the textures.
They might not want to alienate the audience by giving Spider-Man a completely different costume.
Of course, this is 100% speculation on my part.
That would beyond stupid in so many ways.
First most people have seen the venom suit even if you dont read the comics.
Also storywise it would be stupid since we all know how the suit was made and looked like when the symbiote was in it. Changing that and making a suit that looks too much like his normal isnt a good idea.
Most importantly the costume in this pic looks exactly like the normal suite.

That's your first wrong assumption.Libaax wrote:First most people have seen the venom suit even if you dont read the comics.
The majority of the population that knows about Spider-Man, know him from the movie alone. Ask some random parent or kid from the street if he knows who Venom is and you'll probably get looked at weird. Ask them who Spider-Man is and they'll tell you right away. Venom doesn't have the kind of recognition that Lex Luthor or the Joker have either.
In any case, I don't really think that's the Venom suit either, though it's definitely a possibility.
I'm not sure if Marvel will be willing to change Venom's costume completely. Todd McFarlene would be so heartbroken. Well, not really. Venom was one of the coolest and baddest villians of Spider Man in the 20th Century, but at the turn of the millenium the writers turned him into a minor secondary character.
They did manage to change Green Goblin's costume and give it a more modernised edge instead of a normal green costume, so I guess the possibility's there. They may give Venom a costume similar to Spider Man's I guess, since initially, Venom was mistaken for Spider Man which may be of the story's main points.

hmmm i think its the symbiote costume. what else could be a probable explanation for the drastic colour change?
i dont remember scales on the whole of the costume in the previous movies.
also,

i can make out on the right: a house with two chimneys or towers in the back. on the left: a wall with a ladder.
seems like there is someone or something in front of the house. the lizard??? or my overzealous imagination?

I hate what they have done to Venom cause in Mcfarlene days he was the big bad villlain now that im up vol 2 in AMS he doesnt ever appear often when he does he seems like a lame villain that spidey doesnt even have to fight. While before he was the toughest opponent since thier powers are similer and the spider sense doesnt warn off Venom.Eldo wrote:I'm not sure if Marvel will be willing to change Venom's costume completely. His suit is even way cooler than Spiderman's so i would be disgusted by them if they dared to change the classic Venom suit.
