Happy Australia Day!

Post by Gaiseric »

My calendar says its Australia Day. So... Enjoy.

BTW, what the hell is Australia Day? Is it like Australia's independence day or something?

I think Dr. Eldo would be best suited to answer this question. Dr. Eldo, take it away...

Yeah, heh, that shit was yesterday.

Australian Day was the day when the white men came to Australia and took it over from the Aboriginals so they could dump their convicts because the gaol back in England was overcrowded. They convicted alot of people for petty crimes, like a lifetime sentence for stealing a loaf of bread. Everyone was poor back then, so go figure.

There were some protests sparked by Aboriginals yesterday at Australian Day, since that day marked the invasion of the British colonists. Some of the Aboriginals also burned the Australian flag, which left some of the protesters in disgust.

I was talking about the native americans. If they do protest, I have never heard about it.
