i'm so computerized I don't like reading paper anymore, I even read novels on the computer. Plus I want my pages to be BIG. AND I hate books that can gather dust. So I don't own any printed manga. Well, I'd have to buy German, too, which is a major bore.
I've just read vol. 4 of d.gray-man, it's really not bad, although I do believe it's a rather simple story. Even bleach had more character development in the earlier volumes.

Hi there, me again; I've discovered some supercool stuff by a fave author of mine, called KANEKO ATSUSHI. His art is very interesting since it's half-"manga" and the other half inspired by comics; once again the ink job is so cool I'm praying to God every day I had the same, and the story is really rock'n'roll with a kickass heroine.
Unfortunately, I don't have it in scanlations, but you can purchase the book since it's out in the US (it's only two volumes).
Here you can find information plus you can view some of the first pages.

Oh, and it's "Parental Advisory" so nobody can accuse me of recommending wishy-washy shoujos again
See ya ^____~

Oh wow. In the begining Death Note is ridiculously gravy. I couldnt stop reading. I will once again start reading it though. Once I remember where I left off.

Heh thats shit compared to latest chap things are beyond awesome.Brainpiercing wrote:i've just picked up Death Note, and I can't believe how I missed this earlier. It's really fucking great, at least as far as I've read it (which is just the first volume). I can't wait to read more.
I cant wait till you catch to the latest chap to see what do you think about DN where the story is now. Also isnt the art style great?
Buz: i think you were chapter 70 something, you can just check those chapters until you remember where you left off.

The first manga fan ever to complain of how long it takes to read a chapter.
I can understand if you dont like DN, if you dont want a thriller that is so diffrent from anything then DN is not for you.
In my eyes its just gets better all the time. Now its in my top 5 mangas thanks to the new arc.

Honestly speaking there are a few details I also didn't like in DN, but that's the problem when a mangaka is trying to portrait a group of very intelligent people. Sometimes the author just isn't intelligent enough himself to convincingly manage that.
For example that FBI agent's fiance was also initially portrayed as quite smart, later she turned out pretty stupid.

Well been catching up to volume 23 now with "Beck".
I really do love this manga
Still I want to know if anyone got somewhere you might get ahold off a place you might get descent translations on the new chapters coming out
(I didnt know Beck was an ongoing project still).
Guess I´ll have to entertain myself with "Satan666" and "Hajime No Ippo" until the next one comes out..
