Computer Troubleshooting
Anyone know of a way to delete files which say that they can't be deleted when you try to delete them? Somehow Quicktime and iTunes got fucked up because I went to update it and it failed so I tried to uninstall Quicktime and itunes but then Quicktime wouldn't go peacefully so I went in and started deleting all of the files manually but I come across a few that say that they can't be deleted. Sounds like Communistic bullshit to me so can anyone help me out? I'd appreciate it. Since there is no help whatsoever on the quicktime webpage.
That's right!! Another pointless post by me bitches!!! HA!

1 - Check to see if quicktime or itunes is running in the background (ctrl+alt+delete and then taskmanager). Look under processes and kill em if they're there.. Then delete the files.
If that doesn't work...
2 - Boot into safe mode, delete the files.
If that doesn't work
3 - Get a Windoze XP install disk and boot from it. Enter the system recovery mode (which will dump you to a DOS prompt). Find files and delete via the command line.
If that doesn't work
4 - Take out your hard drive and buy a large magnet.

It's generally not a good idea to delete files manually, specially with bigger applications like Quicktime and iTunes. These programs usually have registry entries and system files spread all over your hard drive. Getting rid of these programs is not just a matter of deleting a folder called 'Quicktime.'
How is this post helping you?
I have no idea.
