I just read chap 473-493, reading two vols of new Ippo at the same time is such a threat.

I havent read an Ippo fight in soo long time and this Sawamura fight looks like it will the best ippo fight so far.

They normally do large releases, so they'll probably hit us with a phat bundle later, that covers anything these other groups have done and more. However, if these other groups keep up the "pace", then maybe not.

Im a member in this group big Ippo forum and they are big fans of ippo and they are realesing only it for now so we will have more 20 vols before SC shows up with thier bundle. Even if they do show up, i dont care.

Ignition One are a great group. I rather have Ippo every other day then 20 vol at the same time after 6+ months of no vols.

497 what a great chapter. What I dont under stand is why Ippo didnt use it in the very begining. I mean he would have had a lot more power to his punch and he would be in a lot better shape then he is now.

Same reason you don't tell someone when you're about to give them a surprise party. Well, that's probably a bad one but you get what I mean hopefully.

If Ippo pulled that earlier then he wouldn't of had the same element of surprise. The guy already countered twice so he was just foolish enough to believe Ippo was going on just heart alone while his determination to win was still intact. Ippo stopping right there was not only important to show that he knew what he had to do but it stressed that he was thinking about it all along.

I'm happy to see more Ippo coming out though.

Also he didnt want to do it at the start and Sawamura waked up after the knockout like he did in 497. Sawamura has taken alot of beating to get the timing of Ippo so there is bigger chance that he will go down with the new dempsey now.

Yes he had a "greater" element of surprise by delaying it. But at what cost? Had he used the Dempsy counter counter earlier he would have no doubt dished out more damage. Its an almost perfect move. Even if Samawura got up from it the first time; Ippo could just continue using it.

Come on his body cant take many new dempsey so why use it at the start. It just makes it easier for Sawamura to fight guy that has hurt himself.

Also he hasn't done it in a match before so i don't think he could even do at the start. He only used it now cause if he goes down mow he wont wake up.

Kamogawa said in 497 that he was able to it cause he went back to basics with the left jabs and got his rhythm back.

His body cant take more of the dempsy counter counter, so instead of using it while healthy he uses it when hes near death....Ohh now I see this reasoning.

He wanted to win with the normal dempsey,ippo isnt the type to give up even before the fight and fight with the other dempsey.

Its not like he knew he would get hurt this bad cause Sawamura lured in a trap when he let him dogde those bullets until he did the dempsey.

If you read what Ippo thinks you see how he feels about the fight,he only got depserate enough to use the new dempsey when nothing else worked.

And now Sawamura didnt even go down with the new dempsey. He would counter it if Ippo used it several times from the start.

Maybe ippo will lose this time if even the new dempsey cant make him win.

Sort of how I feel about it.

Ippo was and still is determined to take him down so it's no wonder he tried his signature move on him even though it was already defeated. Another thing to recall is that the reason Ippo's counter-counter worked is because his Dempsey Roll was broken. If Sawamura didn't do what he did to the Dempsey Roll, it's a chance that Ippo would have miss or, even worse, missed a punch with that much force and got countered.

If that was the case, Ippo would be in a worst position than he is now. Remember, he did say the only reason he was still standing after the second counter was because he already took the first or something of that nature. Because of this, I'm led to believe that a Sawamura counter-counter-counter (Confusing no?) would straight knock him out.

However, I don't think the improved Dempsey Roll is even the trump card anymore. It's Ippo's resolve that will decide this one. As a matter of fact I almost feel like, if it wasn't for the fact that he feels that Sawamura is a disgrace to boxing, then Ippo probably would have been knocked out from one of those counters.
