When you say no to a negative ;)

Like, I can say I ain't no man. The "no man" makes me a woman (or ghey :P), but then again the "I a'int" negates it, turning it back into an afirmative. I am a man, after all :)

Which is indeed a good thing :D

*puts on tin foil hat* It wasn't the double negative that confused me, it was the combination of detective hat for an avatar, the IP address, and the nature of the original question and subsequent follow up by t.A with a phrase (corrected double negative) "well you just can to respect such people".

*shrugs* So, I guess welcome aboard. Hopefully I can understand you better after a few beers. :D (I'm joking.)
xexe sorry for a double negative, but in my mother tong language (which is Lithuanian, a super complicated case=) it is allowed and puts a certain light irony sense=) a non direct translation without any "kinky" expressions would be that you just must feel a respect to such people=))
and I admire people who are doing something not for profit, but because of idea and its always nice to meet one;)
The hat is not just ant avatar in virtual world, Im always wearing a fedora, just a tradition from my family… even though not very “modern” and “in vogue “ but its me=)
oh and by the way wats about my IP?=))

Hi everybody, although I read this forum for a year now this is my 1st post. The reason is that I am making a huge wallpaper in my living room (size is 4metres height x 5metres length) and the theme will be a collage of Berserk scanlations. I have all the manga in english version and I would like a little help from all of you to tell me which are the best pages ever in your opinion.

I dont want them to be very sick (like some demons who rip arms off etc) but a little gore wouldnt mind me.

Please post some pages that you think are the best

Thanks in advance. When I finish my wall I will take a pic and post it to you. Smile

PS. Sorry for replying in this topic but they wouldnt let me start a new one. Someone kind start a new topic with title "room wallpaper" or something similar

well there is a good reason why you cant start a new thread...and you proved why :D. there is already a wall paper thread, just search for it and im sure you can find some good wallpapers. some of my favorite pics are these two. also one of my early posts in the wallpaper thread of guts slicing up a lot of zombie's or w/e after he found casca again. just the sort of somber guardian he appears to be in that picture and she cant even begin to realize all the sacrifices he's made for her. it gets to me a lil :roll heh

even the thread about fan art would have also been appropriate for this topic, more so that the wallpaper thread

This thread contains all the relevance of your query. I think it's fine if the discussion take place here or in the other thread, I don't mind either, but I'm afraid I can't help you. I think all of the pages are brilliant in its own way.

Hello all, I just had a question about Guts...
He has pointy ears, and I seem to remember Puck calling him an elf. Does this actually mean anything of significance? From what i remember, nothing more than the actually stating of Guts being an elf is done.

I've always been curious about this, but nothing has been done in the manga about it. So, I was just wondering what people here thought or knew about this.

PS

Great site you have here, I was very glad to find the most recent chapters (which I hadn't really found anywhere else) :D

Hello there Quasi Mortuus.

About the question, I havent really pondered this at all really.
I just thought it was just some jibberish that Puck said in the beginning to have something to talk about with Guts.

Hm, I guess it could be like that, but Guts actually has pointy ears, so you never know...

(By the way, when I press "preview" nothing happens. Should I turn on HTML? And if so, how do I do that?)

Edit: I realised my mistake... so ignore that which was in brackets :P (I'm so used to scrolling down to look at the preview that I didn't consider looking up ^^

Well we dont know much about the elves, their could be more races than those like puck, we also dont know much about guts parents except that his mother was hung up with her baby. He could have some elf ancestors too...

But if you ask me its just crap coming from puck.

Yeah its crap but still.

I have seen elfs be born and they dont co come to live like humans.

Also he is old now if he was elf he would come to look like them or get thier power.

But that is the thing, he is insanely strong, very skilled and very agile... Couldn't his ability to surpass the human limits maybe be due to his elven blood?

Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by "I have seen elfs be born..."

Still... Humans can only go so far...

Also, the elves in Berserk can be totally different compared to the "normal" elves in most other fantasy worlds...

He is not an elf, he is strong because he's constantly in battle and he has pointy ears because Miura wanted to draw him that way.

We've seen all of Guts' past. It's very rich and convincing as it is and there's no need to add something as stupid as him having elven blood in him. It'd kill the whole 'pushing a human's limitations' thing he has going on. Humans can only go so far? Yeah, but that's the whole fucking point of the series, that Guts pushes himself. Furthermore, is it really worthwhile to worry about how far a human can really go in a world where a horse-riding skeleton pulls a sword with facial features and thorns out of his mouth?

Starnum had better not see your posts.

He'll rip you a new asshole.

Hm, very valid point, had forgotten about that...

The whole "If you desire one thing for so long, it's a given that you'll miss other things along the way. That's how it is... that's life."

Just change "desire" to "paying attention" and you have what I just did on this topic.

Your post made me :kekeke: in a good way.

You know, the last guy who said Guts was an elf was flamed to death and left the forum crying.
