That was just an example. He is saying that corporations are given larger roles in government because the neo-cons are letting them. first of all, corporations have about the same influence in government as environmental groups, abortion groups, animal rights groups, etc.
to say that "neo-cons" have allowed a greater corporate role in government is simply false. corporations had a much greater roles to play in American government in the 1880s with the oil trusts, railroad trusts, coal trusts etc.
J.P. Morgan, a multimillionaire, bailed out the United States treasury in the late 1880s, so to say corporations have as large an influence as back then is untrue. they have some influence, but no more than other special interest groups (big labor, environmental, abortion, etc.).
We have W.H. Taft to thank for busting the trusts and allowing competition again, which is essential to capitalist society

What I said is that laws like this one are hypocritical given the orgy of self-aggrandizing pontificating about the importance of "judicial restraint." Judicial restraint, indeed the entirety of the civil judicial system, is irrelevant if you start letting the Congress pass unconstitutional laws* telling you what you can and can't sue over.
I said that it seemed likely that the GOP was willing to overlook these details because they have made themselves the party of big business*.
You're the one who asserted that corporations are given a larger role in government.
You're the one who stated that corporations have more influence now than they did 125 years ago.
* The constitution guarantees the right to sue for as little as $20. The courts alone get to decide what is and isn't a legitimate case.
** According to politicalmoneyline, the GOP leads the Dems in donations from basically every corporate interest there is.
