It's a little late, but as it seems other haven't been keeping up either, my direct is up at the interstice.

I cant see Owen tagging along either.
Guts is gonna deny being the Commander off the raiders, nah dont see the reason for him lying about it.

I have a feeling that Gatts won't deny his past to Owen. However, I doubt that Owen will go with them, or that he'll even ask to. Although, if he did, I don't see Gatts allowing it. As for Manifico and Roderick, well, it's Roderick's ship, so that can't be avoided.

Exactly what I thought, but I can't see Manifico or Roderick as new group members. Maybe for the ship trip but no further than that.

Maybe Owen will meet up with the other guy (forgot his name again. But I think it'll be an interesting thing to see what happens. I don't think Owen will disappear this fast.

I can't really see that happening. I mean, he hasn't even told the story to most of his companions. Guts doesn't seem the sort to just go around telling it to people. Also, even with the monsters attacking the city, how likely is it that Owen would actually believe the story if he heard it? It is kinda unbelievable to a normal person....

All you have to do is look at Guts to believe he's gone through all that!!! Geez!! I mean the man has no eye now, a white streak in his hair, a friekin fake arm, an even bigger sword and why else would he NOT be with Griffith? Also all them scars everywhere...plus he'll see Caska insane.

It would be cool if Guts was granted commander of the town's army to defend against the Kushan...then they'll clash with Griffith. That would be awesome. i think he'd do it, well, maybe only if he knew Griffith was in the area.

well they just saw ganishka scare everyone shitless and there ARE monsters everywhere and fairies...the hardest part will be seeing through griffiths charade not believe in monsters. and no guts wouldnt go about telling everyone his story, owen would. and i doubt an army led by guts would do any good. it would just lead to everyone but guts and his close companions geting slaughter (if he went up against griffith)

Yea but if he had control over the city's military he would have more than just foot soldiers at his disposal. Apostle or not, Griffith would be the only one to survive a surprise cannon attack. Not that he would really need the Neo-Hawks or anything because he is A #1 Superstar Godhand but I think he does it cuz...i dunno actually. But yea, Guts could set something good up with cannon/arrows/bullets/etc... and at least inflict severe damage on the Neo Hawks. I would predict maybe two at most would survive it (Zodd and maybe Lucas).

Guts simply is a great leader. Since he was soldier long enough he understands them and is able to use them, not like some noble giving orders from some hill far away. He might not be as good as griffith as tactician but he keeps up the troops moral and finishes the enemy leaders and strong soldiers. Femtos powers must be limited in the living world, so he needs an army. So if guts were to lead an army it'll be interesting. I don't believe he will do so now, not until they have reached elfheim. perhaps if the ship is burning and there is no way to escape he might.

Also a nice thought - if casca regains sanity in a pleasant way:
an army led by guts, casca and serpico. guts as raid leader, casca with the special missions and serpico devises tactics. weaponry will be supplied by rickelt. farnese as a new corcus, pretty much useless. azan the new pippin keeps the main rows standing. ishidro learns to throw knives

and shierke's magic supports the troops. A big Battle royale between the "Hawk of Light" (guts) and the "Hawk of Darkness"(femto) will take our breath away..... what a nice thought.

Regarding his identity, I don't think he'll lie about that. He might choose not to give a reply but it wouldn't work since they'll all get curious.

Guts will never tell the story (IMHO) to his companions, who would say to Owen. C'mon, "Oh, see that pretty girl there? Yeah, she's drooling and can't say coherent phrases because that son of a ***** raped her, in front of me.". I wouldn't say that to anyone, it's not nice to say the woman you love has been raped (thankfully, I have no idea what that would be like

)

And Guts won't stay on the city. That is for sure. They're just leaving, they might fight on the docks, but he won't lead them, that's for sure. I don't see Guts too much as a commander (and yes, I know he was commander of the Hawk's raider team and did a pretty well job, but that was because Griffith was leading them). Just fighting is, usually, not enough...

hi guys this is my first post. I want to thank the EG crew for their excelent releases. Berserk is the first manga i read and i love it, read vol 1 till 28 about 20 times at least. I had downloaded them from The Hawks but they are getting their scans from the volumes instead of the chapters if i am not mistaken so they are slower. When i found out of EG i got vol 29 and smiled ;oo and now i have downloaded c256+ i have become stunned. The story is getting better again. It was all a bit slow imo, gatts not being as hard as he is, a bit of a softy, relying on others instead of the hard way he always is. But with the coming of the thruth of who he is it will become interesting again.

What i think will happend is that only the nobles will know who he is and that the other guys, ishi farnese schierke will know later because they're slow like a standard manga character. The thruth will either be revealed at the end of the chapter or in chapter 265 or further on. Farnese will change in her room and it will take a whole chapter before they come out of the shop. When they are almost finished they'll get attacked by monsters those things, the bakarashi? Maybe even some " we have been looking for you " speaking but chances are low for that because they are quantity troops and not quality troops. Maybe a higher level demon will poof up and gatts will be driven away while the others go to the ship. The noble that remembers gatts might even die, dying with him will be the memories of him and only the other nobles that will remember him will be at the capital where guts wont go to yet.

This is my small version of what might happend in the next chapter -_-;

Hmm, never thought about that Owen could get killed right at the beginning off the next chapter.
"Arent you the commander off the rai--- argh". Guts might even let him die just so his true identity wont get revealed.
I´ve also started to think about if Roderick is gonna try and assassinate Guts on the ship, thats gonna be a really big mistake if he does try to do so
