It's pretty much everything, the story, the characters, the artwork, the fights. Berserk wouldn't be what it is without either of those.

The Roshinu fight pretty much owns every other fight scene I've ever read.

The fairy apostle, the one right after the Eclipse.

That was a pretty slick fight, lots of surprises and unexpected moves from Guts.

Haha no its not what makes it so great.
But I can say as much that I dont think I would like it that much if it didnt contain Blood at all (Ohh thats such a lie!!).

Edit: I had to rush away in a hurry, but over and all Berserk is good in any kind off way.
There is absolutly nothing about it that I dislike even one bit

What does Berserk great for me is that Muira does evertying great. The story, characthers, art, action. Unlike every other manga except Ippo, there isnt anything i dont like in Berserk.

Gore you can find in many mangas and not everyone are great just cause of some gore.

I have read many crappy mangas that i tought would be good cause of the gore.....

Yes berserk is the whole package, but the thing that keeps me hooked is the whole "I will kill you Griffith..." because after watching the anime I wanted to kill Griffith too. I also like watching Guts grow into a twisted young adult, and now a semi-twisted adult. I wonder how much he will un twist during the manga?? I guess I will have to stay tuned to fined out!

2 more days till release(of raws that is)!!! :)

Exactly what I could say.

Berserk has everything you can want from a manga. (Even Babyface Fighters for the girls :P)

Yeah hating Griffith is a big part of Berserk since he is so horrible that you wish for his death. That makes you closer to Guts cause you feel as much hate as him for Griffith.

Most bad guys in manga are bad in a way that you dont feel much hate for thm Griffith is very diffrent.

Ditto :D

We should have like a countdown clock to when the next chapter will be released...although Sandman seems to do that pretty well

Well i think that Griffith's caracter and his downfall are a good example of how well written berserk is. A manga having such an impact on the mental state of the reader, in this case most people's hatred of the Griffith, is rare.

It tears you in two. Because when you think about it, both Guts and griffith are good because Griffith is chasing his own thing and Guts is in a sense. But that's another discussion that SHOULDN'T be awaken. So no replies to this...muahahahahahaha!!!
That's right!! Another pointless post by me bitches!!! HA!

I think Guts probably will stay close to Caska or go off to fight the Kushans.

I like the series because, as an artist, I'm entranced by Miura's attention to detail combined with his skill at depicting action. He continues to impress, too, with his recent scenes around the city and at the docks showing that his skill at architectural depiction has improved tenfold since his early days.
