Jackie would also be dumbfolded if he had to shoot webs and swing from house to house...although with all the stuntin' he be doin' he might just do it.

It's not only the actors, it's us, the audience who expect to see things that no actors can perform anymore.

Hmm, yeah we might be part off the problem to.
It´s a bit sad actually that we only demand more all the time...
It´s like "Hell yeah that Dr. Octopus had such kick ass arms, but why did he only have four, and only threw 1 car at the time"
"Gimme more..... more... MORE!!!"

I think I need to go to bed :P

Christian Bale buffed himself up pretty quickly for Batman Begins after that film Machinist which required him to shed 40 kgs. They have their methods.

Sandman is a old school Spiderman villian, he was a thief, then a spider villain, then reformed as a hero, and turned evil again.

Marvel comics in general has issues. There are so many time-traveling, parallel universe, differnet time-line stories, I can't even keep track anymore.

Heh, true, I've read some pretty recently, and it seems there's 3 different parallel universes for X Men alone. I think Spiderman had 2 or something, last I counted.

The clone saga in Spiderman was the most messed up I've read. Not saying it's bad, but messed up.
