I never really liked spiderman, but I always though carnage and venom were cool.

Topher Grace as Venom.....

The comic book nerd inside me is currently trying to kill himself. I'll watch it, and probably enjoy it, but I really hope they know what they are doing with that pick.

No kidding, when i think Venom i dont think pussy. Now Bruce Willis would make a much better choice IMO.

Bruce Willis? Meh. We must remember, Eddie Brock is a kind of a muscle head, and for all intensive perposes, is Peter Parker's rival in real life at the newspaper, so they need to be about the same age.

movie people wrote:"We have really great people though as the villains in this film, Thomas Haden Church and Topher Grace -- Venom and Sandman,"
now reading that again will show that its thomas haden church who will be venom and topher who will be sandman.

"Maybe I wasn't supposed to say that," she added before reversing her claim. "It's the other way around. You're right," she conceded to a journalist.
Nah, Dunst said it backwards.

I read somewhere that a source close to the movie claimed that Topher was "buffing up". But honestly, I don't see how ripped he could get. Although Tobey did a pretty good job of it with the first Sipder-man, so it could work out.

Either way it doesn't work, Sandman's a buff as well. I thought Topher Grace would make a great Peter Parker, but I guess whathisface got the part instead.

Who cares is he looks like Eddie Brock or not? All they need to do is take the essence of the character and have it work well on-screen. Honestly, I don't even know who these actors are or what they look like and I don't really care about it. I just want to go to the theatre when the movie is released and enjoy a good Spiderman story.

Besides, the actual Venom will probably be CG anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Gah 2007... I´m an old man then dammit :P
And I can´t help but wonder if "The Rock" could play Venom or Sandman. Can´t really see him as a "Bad guy"

Sandman is almost identical with the Liquid man (Or is he named Aqua man, bahh! Cant remember). He can make himself into pure sand so he can sneak in under doors etcetera

Yeah I think thats in the part where Aqua man is created.. When he falls off a ship in the beginning.
However it might as well be another chapter also. I think there is one part where Sandman is after Aqua mans "love off his life" or something in that way when they have a real showdown...

Cant remember who won though

Well, doesn't really matter. All I really want is a SM movie with Carnage in it.

I liked 1 & 2 actually. Well the second half off the first one was a disappointment.
however, if Venom is gonna looks as bad ass as he should. They definetly need to X-rate (Did I get it right) it, cause off all the tounge action hes gonna do :P

I sure hope they will...but then again, almost every character gets computer-mad as soon as he gets into a fight

Yeah, it´s bit sad that they do things that way nowadays.
Good for the actors nontheless (They can just sit back and relax now instead off doing it the "Jackie Chan way"
