Don´t know how many episodes it will be. I only know every one will be 35 min. I think the OAV start at the end of vol 2 of the manga, and I think it will continue up to vol 8, chapter 4.

OVA that follows the manga is perfect and since its ova it will be high quality,what more can we hellsing fans want! I only hope the first ova comes out this year.

from what i heard they will build on the first 6 or 7 eps from the original series.... You know the part where hellsing mansion is attacked by two vamps and an army of ghouls (which was also the last part that the original anime had in common with the manga). From there on it will follow the manga closely. Still these are just rumors so i dunno what is true and what is not. Would be cool if it all is true though cause the manga gets a nice twist right after that mansion raid
OVAs will follow the manga closely, this was announced. For me, this is superb news... But the important thing is how they're planning to finish it. The 6th chapter of vol 8 is out there and as far as I see, there'll at least be another volume before he wraps up the arc (or the whole series). I'm hoping to see more than 1 vol, that's why I said "at least".

well indeed it could have been worse.... still it also could have been better... Blood the last vamprie had CG in most of it's scenes but i can't say that i recognize it :S
Hellsing was a new anime that i actually liked. Cartoon Network is turning anime into a fad. I remember when i was the only one in school who watched anime, now its all over the place. There are a few diamonds in the roughes. (Like Hellsing)

Length of episodes is supposed to be 35 minutes each, and it`s going to be based on Hellsing manga. Reliable information received from industry sources says that this series will be much more faithful to the original manga than the TV series.
