Immediately reminded me of Mortal Kombat when I read that. Loved that game too.Femto wrote:This game doesn't have suicides, generic deaths or fatalities, not to mention blood, which is really stupid IMO.

I'm betting it's because of the way he draws ambigiously and improportionately large breasts for teh chicks. Reminds me of Oh Great, in a way.Ayanami wrote:How did he become KOF's main artist??Femto wrote:Falcoon is a fat, loser and terrible fan artist that shouldn't be handling something like KOF.
Period.
I don't know much about KOF, and so I googled his artwork, I do agree with you that he shouldn't even begin to touch KOF.

Who's talking about '01.Ayanami wrote:I actually liked the art in 2001. I am probably one of the few who think so.

And yes, Falcoon was involved with all new character designs in '03 as far as I know. That includes Shen and Duo Lon as well as that horrible bitch Malin. Kyo's new costume, Mukai and Adelheid were earlier, unused character designs if I'm not mistaken.
Since we were talking about the art and all, I thought it would be fitting.....Femto wrote:Who's talking about '01.
Oh well as ya do, does any one have any pics of his work for KOF MI 2?? I don't like Falcoon's 2003 stuff, but I have not seen any drawings of his MI stuff. I would like to see it before I pass judgement.

There are no in-game Falcoon illustrations in MI, it's all CG. Still, the terrible character designs should tell you enough about it.
I think I have a couple of Lien design sheets, let me see if I can dig them up.
EDIT: Found 'em:

I'm pretty sure those are actual Falcoon illustrations, but I might be mistaken. Look at his Clark and Maxima redesigns:

His new Mai costume is pretty good actually, but the rest of his stuff is really bad.
PS: 2001 artwork is not bad, it's just that it was a step down from 2000's beautiful artwork. I actually prefer '01 stuff to '02/'03. I'm talking in-game stuff of course.

Aight did some looking around, and found a pic of this Nagase character.
She does indeed look horrible IMO.

I never liked the design of the new characters in MI, like Alba and Lien, Soiree takes the cake though if you ask me.
EDIT - Hmmm, his Clark and Maxima are indeed retarded, and I do agree with the new Mai. And as for 2001 compared to the others.....
Yeah, 2000 is better, but I think 2001 was pretty good, and a lot of people trashed 2001's art style and what not. I think it was cool to have something different for a change and not something generic like Falcoon's 2003 stuff.

I noticed you have Shinobi for the PS2 Femto, you ever beat that? I could never get past the sixth stage. Damn blind swordsman.
Anywho, back to fighters. I never got that much of a chance to play KOF '03. I played it with Ayanami for a bit, but not a whole lot.I did enjoy the addition of Tizoc to the Gauro Team roster, I never cared much for Andy. And speaking of MOTW characters coming into KOFs, anyone hyped to see B. Jenet in KOF XI? I thought it was nice to see her in their. I hope they don't mess with he too much, like they did with Gato. I can't even play with him in '03, I would need to totally relearn strategies and set-ups.
*Goes off to play MOTW on emu*

I love Tizoc in '03 when I play against my friends. My friends are 3-D fighter fanatics. So I like to laugh and taunt them when they cannot execute supers properly...and then they try to button tap their way out of a 2-D beat down.
edit: Nice setup Femto.

Where the hell is teh Xbox in that pic? You have a GC, a PS2, and no Xbox...
I was excited when I saw Marvel Nemesis released. After reading some user opinions and some reviews, I am now left in a soulless husk. It looked really promising...

Come on Eldo, you don't need to be a gamign freak to know that:
EA+ Anything but sports (Especially a fighting game) = Horrible
Being creative is cool, but damnit, sometimes you just have to stick with your guns. And you're not alone Libaxx, although I haven't played it in a while since I only played my cousin's copy, so maybe after playing shooters and the like, my reflexes may have improved enough to beat it. I picked it a few weeks back in a used bin for $10.

I really liked Shinobi. I think it had a great system going for it, always focing you to be faster and faster in killing enemies, and always keeping the pressure high. The animation was beautiful (though motion captured) and the character designs were awesome. I just wish the sequel would've addressed some of the major issues with the game so it could be pushed forward and join top tier action games like DMC or Ninja Gaiden.
I've always seen huge potential in Shinobi, and it's probably the only game that has made me wish I could develop a sequel for, even though I have no particular interests in working in the video game industry.
