Havent seen that movie, but wasnt the hollywood re-make (As the critic´s said anyways) only an excuse to show Clooney´s ass all the time.. Or something like that.

I didn't like Soderbergh's way of interpreting the novel. It wasn't a bad movie but it wasn't the book I read either. Lem's book is about emotions, conscience and how we humans perceive the universe... Soderbergh's movie does not let you or provoke you to think, it just tells a love story.
