Teh art of making gifs.

lots of ppl were bothering me about how to make gifs,so here it goes,first of all you will need VirtualDub,Paint shop pro 7 & ACDSee 6.0.
goto VirtualDub and open the file you want,goto the sense,goto edit menu at the bottom there are 2 options set selection start and set selection end,use them to select the sense, goto file save image,choose a folder where you want those images.after that you will have lots of images delete every 4 in 5 images.Use ACDSee to convert the bmp to jpeg and resize them to 40%,now keep the resized images and delete the rest.In paint shop pro 7 there a software Animation shop,open it,goto file animation wizard,then just do next next and add images,finish,select all and set the frame rate to 5 or 6 and check the preview out with view animation,resize it,save it and your done.Well thats how i make them but there are other ways,i migth have missed something here and there,use your common sense and figure them out,if you cant post here dont pm me.

That's a fucking awesome tutorial, Nazgul.

I've just been using TMPG or something to get the *.bmps, and using imageready for the rest.

Nice tutorial. Virtual Dub is a really nice program. I'm using good old Ulead Gif Animator of Macromedia Flash if I'm in the mood to make some.

Thats why I use flash for bigger animation it's often much smaller as long as you don't use big images in every frame.

Made this because I was a bit bored.

Don't know how to make it smaller in size or anything, I have no idea how to animate GIFs or anything. I have 200k total size of 30 frames, and when I make it to a GIF, it's 500k. I'll look further to how to compress it further.
