[Evil_Genius] chatroom?
Yes, I know EG already has an IRC channel so hear me out.
I was thinking of something that is web-based, not IRC. Something that uses our forum usernames and info inside the chatroom. EG has a channel, but how many of us visit that? It seems like it's more for downloads and whatever, and this would be strictly for chatting and a mindwerks chatroom above all else. I was thinking of something like phpMyCHat maybe (screenshot) or whatever psi can find that is functional. It would be something simple but functional, I'd say.
So, what does everyone think?

I wouldn't mind. I use IRC to leech and keep in contact with group members, but leeching is the main reason for IRC's purpose.

This is something ive been thinking about alot. I just didnt want to do it via IRC. And i thought not everyone would switch over to just AIM, MSN, or Yahoo. This phpChat thing on the other hand sounds really good.
PS: I use yahoo and msn also now. So some of you bitches talk to me on dem!!!!^^

I don't really care, I prefer Instant Messengers because I can talk to whom I want and don't have to read other persons responses. I don't have to open an internet browser and it's more privat.

Alright, I say we get some more votes on this and let's fire up this thing. The EG channel has no conversation anyway nowadays.
But living in different timezones is going to make this hard of some members to converse probably, namely me. Just give this a bit of a test run first.

well those that are on the forum at the same time can be on the chat at the same time as well.... for as far as i know at most moments of the day there are atleast 10 registered members online and a hell of a lot of guests aswell....
And this might also encourage some guests to register and even become active poster because a chat is easier to get to know people with and thus starting to talk with people would be easier... I can't say i see any real negative side to the chatroom part except for the added bandwith usage that psi would get stuck with. So it will come down to the conclusion of psi whether the BW is worth it or not

Yeah and I don't care at all.Buzkashi wrote:alrighty then. Dont talk on it if we get it. You wont be missed...^^
If it's for small talk only, it's okay but if the topics of the forum are getting discussed there it would just empty the forum.
