Khelegond it's Vae Victis, although I'm not sure about the grammatical construction used. Generally roman latin gives me the creeps. (As compared to medieval latin which is fairly understandable - while you're studying it.)

That aside....
ya, how much guts rocks
Let me help you with the grammatics
[Brian is writing graffiti on the palace wall. The Centurion catches him in the act]
Centurion: What's this, then? "Romanes eunt domus"? People called Romanes, they go, the house?
Brian: It says, "Romans go home. "
Centurion: No it doesn't ! What's the latin for "Roman"? Come on, come on !
Brian: Er, "Romanus" !
Centurion: Vocative plural of "Romanus" is?
Brian: Er, er, "Romani" !
Centurion: [Writes "Romani" over Brian's graffiti] "Eunt"? What is "eunt"? Conjugate the verb, "to go" !
Brian: Er, "Ire". Er, "eo", "is", "it", "imus", "itis", "eunt".
Centurion: So, "eunt" is...?
Brian: Third person plural present indicative, "they go".
Centurion: But, "Romans, go home" is an order. So you must use...?
[He twists Brian's ear]
Brian: Aaagh ! The imperative !
Centurion: Which is...?
Brian: Aaaagh ! Er, er, "i" !
Centurion: How many Romans?
Brian: Aaaaagh ! Plural, plural, er, "ite" !
Centurion: [Writes "ite"] "Domus"? Nominative? "Go home" is motion towards, isn't it?
Brian: Dative !
[the Centurion holds a sword to his throat]
Brian: Aaagh ! Not the dative, not the dative ! Er, er, accusative, "Domum" !
Centurion: But "Domus" takes the locative, which is...?
Brian: Er, "Domum" !
Centurion: [Writes "Domum"] Understand? Now, write it out a hundred times.
Brian: Yes sir. Thank you, sir. Hail Caesar, sir.
Centurion: Hail Caesar ! And if it's not done by sunrise, I'll cut your balls off.

Aye, but the cool people at Crystal Dynamics are sticking with Vae Victus anyway. 'cause it's classic. No, wait... didn't they use both versions? Vae Victus is singular and Vae Victis plural? Or was it the other way around?
Khelegond wrote:Vae Victis is the plural. Vae Victus the singular. Kain (in the Legacy of Kain games) uses Vae Victus. Mean "Woe to the Conquered".
LordMune, loves Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver series too?
Raziel is the only hero as cool as Gatts (wait, I think I'm going to be stoned)
Yeah. Although Raziel got a bit whiny towards the end (rightfully so, I suppose), I still like(d) him a bit more than Kain. I especially liked Raziel's Vae Victis (or was it Victus? I need to replay that game) scene in Defiance. And this is off-topic, which is awesome.

Some one mentioned earlier in this thread that the tiger has gotten bigger since the last time they saw it. When was the last time?
Wasnt the last time on the beach? With the moon child?
A little philosophy inclineth man's mind to atheism, but depth in philosophy bringeth men's minds about to religion.

I don't like the end of Defiance. Raziels fusion wioth the Reaver. I like both Kain and Raziel but Raziel is cooler and I like the World of Darkness similarities.
The last time they saw the tiger was when the mist came up, but I don't think it's bigger it was just further away.

generic noble (soon dead): "Hey Guts, you are great! I wanted to ask you to tell griffith how much I admire him and that it is great how skillful he uses the band of the hawk....*rage*...*screaming*...*killing spree*-----*silence*----*just someone breathing like a wild beast*"
And I'd say that any Tiger is pretty big...this one is possessed and so even bigger. however I'd say Guts will slay it quickly in an extremely cool way. It would have been pretty dumb for him to heal for such a long time to get messed up by a little pussy cat. The next big battle should still be ahead. Impressing some nobles won't really develop the story...
Since love and fear can hardly exist together, if we must choose between them, it is far safer to be feared than loved.
Guts will ether take it out in one shot or the cat will turn into mist and the fight will be a lot longer. My hopes are that it is quick so we can say "FU cats now bring on the rest of them."
and i reatract what I said earlyer about the size difference it was just the way he showed the cat a couple of times that made me think that.

World of Darkness? I keep thinking about Heart of Darkness, but surely its not what you mean?
I like how the teeth are drawn outward. interesting miura twist on a real life creature.
The guy who would play the best guts IMO. Is the guy who plays Collosus in X-Men 2.
