Shin Megami Tensei

May as well make a topic for this series... Anyway, I'm not even done with Digital Devil Saga and some Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call (PAL) pops up. I'm not exactly on top of my SMT, and was just hit in the head with this, thrown by some elite ninja of the Hidden sneaky-releases village. Someone mind filling me in on this? (or just the SMT series, period)

It's the same as Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne which is already released in NA. Lucifer's Call is the EUR name for it.

Because of the different markets.

It's funny though, I just finished Digital Devil Saga a couple of hours ago and this thread pops up. I'll post some comments/impressions about it later. I think Eldo is a big MegaTen fan, so he'll probably show up here at some point too.

I heard the anime sucks from some on the nocturne board so i'm not going to try downloading it. Nocturne just is dreamy music blah blah lucifer is in the game over 75% of the time. come on of course he's calling you.

Can someone tell me why this game is so expensive? I looked on Ebay and gamestop/ebgames and it goes for around 40-50$$...

What, you trying to find it on eBay for cheap or something? Doubt you will see any real cheap offers, but as ya do.

But any who, get used to paying more money for games. When 360 and PS3 are on the market. HD games are gonna most likely be around 60 to 70 bones.

SO why is this game so expensive being full price and all? Hasn't it been out for a while now?? Orr Is it like a rare game or something?

It is a slightly rare RPG for the PS2. So therefore, people sell it for more than all the other games that are out. But any who, I think 40 to 50 bones is a steal for the game. And I would pick it up while it stays that low while you can.

I bought Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne cost me $49.45 on ebay hopefully it will be worth it.

I still have yet to get more than an hour or so through DDS One, but what I have played was amazing. And I saw one of my buddies who was like 30 hours in playing it, and it was HARD. Like almost dieing from just a regular battle. And God forbid that you get a status aflection.... or you are DOOMED!
