Yeah, I've seen martyr around in stoptazmo, and he's no noob.

Don't really give two shits about long ass post, the length you typed wasn't even considered as 'long' at all. You should have seen this Wyrm guy, he typed over a page worth of shit in one post, over 1000 words. Yeah, he got the ban, heh. Yeah, he's a infamous legend around here. For the wrong reasons, unfortunately.

But anyway, welcome to the forums.

Hi all -

I've read the manga through volume 26 (the Hawks translation, anyhow). I really don't know much about anime or manga, in comparison to many others, but I rented Berserk a few weeks ago and was instantly hooked. (I have since bought the whole set to own, my first anime series purchase ever, talk about feeling like a noob!) I'm a sucker for loner anti-heroes, so Guts was immediately interesting to me. I was also rather shocked by some of the topics in the manga. For instance, Griffith's feelings towards Guts. That wasn't something I expected, although the anime hinted at it. It was very complex and interesting. But it seems that relationships and soul-searching are really at the heart of the story, and that has kept me interested. Not to mention the awesome artwork.

Been lurking for a few days, and I'll just post here to introduce myself. Won't do much more than that, tough...

So, a friend of mine told me about berserk. The name was a hook up, since I love berserkers. In "Record of Lodoss War", my favorite char is the berserker, I just love when he comes into rage!! So, I got the anime. Was petrified. Till then, my favorite Anime was Record of Lodoss War (I'm a medieval/fantasy fan). Now is Berserk. By far. Quite far.

I already knew the end of the anime was going to be cliffhanger, so I wasn't exactly surprised. Then, the same friend (good friend, he is

) lent me a couple CDs with the Manga. I think 1-25 vols, but I'm not sure...then, oh hell...I couldn't stop reading them...was reading them on work! What a same...

Here in Brazil the manga has just started beeing produced. But at such a pace that a turtle can drive around it

Now I'm here, searching for new chapters, and reading your stories. Almost always great reading.

Oh, hope I'm not too n00b.

hi even though I’m new to this forum but I have leach of u guys for my berserk crack for quite a while and I happen to have berserk chapter 256-257 hosted on my server and I got some spare bandwidth to spare I wondering what are the rule for posting those link on here I don’t want to accidentally stepping on anyone foot

talk to the man Psi29a and ask him what he can do with your server, and its nice to see some contributing.

Psi has no intention on hosting releases that are not [Evil_Genius] or Nazgul-approved. Otherwise I would have done (translate and edit) Berserk 256 and 257 myself. I am aware of this new group, God Hand, but their editing is pretty average, and from what I heard, they omitted a whole speech in one of their chapters.

I'm here due to my (new found) berserk addiction... Block Buster should have put a "Warning: Highly Addictive" label on it.

Anyhow, I was lead here by a link from my normal torrent site seeing as how they only do complete series and berserk isn't finished yet.

So, I'm new here. This makes the 4Th forum I'm going to on perpetually. Oh well, i highly doubt I'll get near my 4700+ posts on (heh, my rule of thumb: don't advertise when your post count is below 100).

welcome lord aron. my name is "mrfelony" and im addicted to berserk. but much like Jung, we know how to control addictive substances. I also found out about berserk through block buster.

(i think it was jung, but it may have been freud who used cocaine(?) and recomended it to his patients because he didnt know it was addictive or somethign like that)

And yes, Berserk is addictive, and while the addiction itself can be damaging (to your social life and thought processes in general), Berserk itself is good shit for you.

Hey Everyone

nice to finally actually say a few words. I've been coming to this forum and reading for quite awhile now, back when it was hosted at digital panic I believe the name was. I first saw berserk around 3 years ago and was addicted after watching the anime (as most people see if first). After watching it through for the second time and reading that a continuation wasn't likely I did some looking around and found EG and began downloading the manga. Read over it in the course of a week and each manga got better and better till finally I got stuck in the same predicament(sp) you guys are in. That of cours, being at the mercy of Kentarou Miura's release dates.

Anyways to keep it short and sweet I'd just like to thank the EG team for the scanlations of such calibur cause I've seen some that looked like they were dunked in a water bucket before finding EG and I can see how dedicated you guys are to releasing quality.

Hullo to you all! I am Rono... well I generally like Ronoth the overlord o' doom, but as we all know a great majority of people on the net are lazy so I'm stuck with Rono. (Also while first registering here I tried to register to a hotmail account that I had not realized needed to be reactivated. So, Ronoth my orignal register is now taken never to be activated. *dramatic sigh*)

So, about myself. I'm 22 and living the dream with a wife who loves to play video games and watch all anime. Berserk was something I saw only one episode of, I forget where and when, that has stuck with me for a while. After all how could one forget so much gore, blood and dismemberment? So, after a while I did the unforgivable and downloaded an episode of Berserk and my wife and I became hooked(No worries though! We have since bought the dvds. Some people deserve lots of money.). While in our 24 hour binge of downloading more episodes we happened on some of the manga and it really blew the anime out of the water in my opinion... though my wifers enjoys the anime more. So my ever growing search for more manga, until I get the money to buy it, has led me here. *searches frantically for manga while trying not to get drool everywhere*

There you have it, folks! The reason I'm here and a little background to go with it. Look forward to typing to the lot of you more when I can actually take part in some of the topics. As of right now I can only say Pippen was the best supporting character ever. Why? I'm not sure... he just is. Until next time!
