Do you really need a holiday to tell you when you need to drink?

No but it gives you a better reason. Then you have something to toast too. Otherwise its just to tits and ass, which are great things to celebrate, but you need variety. Throw in legs once in a blue moon.

I heard that the summer in sweden is very short, so the people there enjoy it even more. They party like 3 days in a row or something like that I heard.

I'm not on top of my native holidays at all, but while I do think three days are holidays (or is it only two?), only one of them actually includes celebration nowadays. Yes, it's very early, for some reason. Summer here usually lasts to the end of august or something.

Hell no, you crazy man. :P
Anyway, I dunno why we celebrate it. Probably just the maypole celebrations of anglican fame relocated to another day or something. I don't know. @__@;

In a christian view, You honor the memory of John the Baptist, other than that it's to welcome that summer has arrived ;p

I went to a midsummer party,meeting old schoolmates and VERY drunk and gorgeous girls :eek: They dont care of the reason,its just a great opportunity to great drunk as hell,eat good food play silly games and just generally have a good time.Wen everything cooled down (in early in the morning),with some poor bastards still drunk as hell,we decided to play Texas hold em',new to the game,but I won most of the times :smoken: .Felt like taking a candy from a baby :twisted: ,because most of them were drunk :eek: (I wasn't).To finish things off,we played strip poker :twisted: ,(2 guys and 4 girls...the rest were sleeping) to my dismay the girls rocked at poker :cry: :eek: Lesson for life: must garnish my poker trades ;)

Doesn't involve much with your family(maybe except the eating bit),its just being with your friends(there were like gazillion of house parties and outdoors barbeque's).Its different wen your younger(wen you are a kid),then you celebrate with you family traditionally, eat the disgusting traditional fish "sill":eek: and dance frog dances around the pole :kekeke:

How interesting...
we don't celebrate it either, but it must be fun...any occasion for :beer: and :kekeke: and :headbang: and :smoken: and :censored: (just didn't know :wtf: else to put here :) ) is a good one.

Which reminds me to start organizing the summer chill unless I want it to be a really crammy one...
