well, in the last arc neji and the guy with energy pills (forgot his name) should have died after those battles but thanks to mangaka they're alive... I bet something similar is gonna happen to Gaara

Yeah and Neji and Chuji was'nt as important to Naruto as Gaara is so its quite clear that he isnt dead.

Err this whole thing was to draw Shukaku out of Gaara right? Where did it say he HAD to die if Shukaku was removed?

Gaara is most certainly dead, his usefulness to the storyline is completely fulfilled,,,, starting as the misunderstood killer, he turns his life around and becomes good thanks to naruto, he even achieved his life's goal of becoming Kazekage, of protecting others, and now he has served as the example jinchuuriki being caught by the red moon >;

Misunderstand me correctly here- I like Naruto as much as the next man (perhaps a bit less), but Gaara dying just won't happen.
Because Kishimoto is too afraid to do something as dramatic as that, since all the Gaara fanboys would run away crying and hate his manga for the rest of their lives. If he actually lets Gaara die, well, he's going to earn quite a few respect-points from me.

Well when sakura asks kakashi if the kyubbi could be removed from the host, kakashi replies by saying that the host would die if the demon was removed.

If Gaara dies it'll give Naruto extensive incentive to kill the Akatsuki... He'll prolly kill that girl and then Itachi will finish Gaara off... And then naruto will turn super saiyan and kick Freeza's ass.......... .. . ... . .. ... . ...

Hmm.... scratch that.

I say Gaara dies and Naruto and co kills some Akatsuki members... And I have no idea what can happen from there... They prolly reveal the other person mith the Mangokyu Sharingan and then we'll all be suprised.... Lol

I say the Grandma restores Garra by returning his soul and his kiyibuki thing back to his body. Since she was sort of around when it was first sealed, she must have some knowledge regarding the seal.

Every character always return on the verge of death. I was hoping Kishimoto kill off Neji and Chouji, but no, they had to live, because there's this medical doctor that can cure cancer and shit. So, yeah, I don't think Garra's going to die.

did deidera get the kyuubi - or the power of it - from gaara ?! as far as I see, they sucked the kyuubi out of gaara, but didn't seal it into deidera yet.

Heh Kyubi is naruto's demon Gaara's is called Shuakuku or something.

They have removed it from Gaara but it isnt sealed in Dieadra yet.

Naruto's got the Kyuubi. The Ichibi is sealed within Gaara, if I'm not mistaken. Also, I don't think they're going to give the powers of the demons to the individual members- at least not yet, it would lead to some serious power issues within the Akatsuki if a few members are substantially stronger than the others.

It sounds like the leader is gonna choose who gets which demon since there is no way in hell that Itachi would give kyubi up to Sasori.

Another question is when Itachi gets the Kyubi will it cooperate or what?
After all the Kyubi controls it's power and just gives it to Naruto when he wants to.
