If you're hardcore I'd say use mIRC or similar programs to get what you want. But I buy all my CDs because I like collecting jewel cases.

thepiratebay.org is the best atm. I think. Since suprnova.org unfortunately disappeared.

I use mIRC, but also Azureus, which works with torrents.
also Kazaa lite, but I haven't used it for months now, since most songs are broken.

Little known bands, I don't think so, there has to be someone to upload the tracker, then it's no problem.
Btw. Azureus is the best torrent client in my opinion.

Wow I am probably the last remaing person who uses Kazaa, granted I only use it for music and porn. Movies, TV shows, Anime, Manga, Comics, other porn I generallly use IRC or torrents.

Kazaa is pointless, b/c most songs became scratching songs. I once d/l a song 5 times, from another source in Kazaa. And they were all messed up. ---> Waste of Time!

If you have kazaa i suggest that you delete it as fast as possible. Just speaking from personal experiences.

Soulseek is the way to go... i used to use DC++ but there isnt much sharing going on there... bittorrent is good for newer cds that come out and occasionally older albums too but it isnt as reliable unless youre in a trading ring or something which i just dont have the patience for

my suggestion: Soulseek all the way... lets see you find anything from Anthem on any of those other programs.... 10$ says you wont

Ares is the best. But lately ive been dling from sites. I know of this one site where you can direct dl up to 2 albums a day. And the downloads are pretty fast. The site has over 1000 ablums. So its pretty good.

Cabos is what I currently use, since I'm out of college and not on campus. However, when I'm on campus next year, I will use myTunes redux. It downloads songs that other users share on the iTunes network. The University can't block it, so that's why it is used.
