I've seen Femto do a very good and detailed drawing of Void. That just about pwns most of the pictures posted in this thread.

I'd put my money on yes. He studies art quite a bit, and with that you learn every aspect of art. Just from his one colored piece, I'd say given the time and effort, definitely. And I agree with his critiques. The guy's good but he needs more work. He seems to be trying to jump to finished art far too quickly. And on the Berserk sketch, I disagree it's too sketchy. It's very well done, captures form quite well too. Impressive even copied but it's up in the air as to how good his original stuff is. I'd love to see it though in the other art thread.
I don't mean to sound cocky with my criticisms, it's just the way I see things. I didn't mean to diss on your post either. As I said, I really liked that sketchy drawing that was posted, and I just think it's a lot better than those two colored pieces, which seems like they could be great line drawings. The first pic you posted looks like a perfect copy of Miura's work but it's hard to tell exactly how good the guy is because it's not his own. I'm assuming he's pretty good if he can do something like that, but you can tell more from one's personal work. I might try to copy one of Miura's drawings and see how it goes, I haven't done something like that in a while.

bout my sketch... no it's not original (from the Roshinu segment) but i've got a work-in-progress of guts in the berserker armor (original!!!!) (i know it sounds quite ambitious). apparently people didn't like the sketchiness so i'm not going to leave it like that next time. And sorry for not posting i'm having a homework overload this week.
I liked the sketchiness dammit! It's better if you work that way actually, you can always clean it up later. I'm pretty sure that wasn't a finished piece, so the sketchiness works IMFO.
But back on topic, I like sketchy looking drawings as well. Not sure why, I am not an artist or anything, but for some reason they seem too look better to me, unless its a well done finished product.
man some people are naturally born with better aptitude but that means nothing in the long run... pick up your pen, steal your sister's barbie doll or your G.I. Joe (I know you still play with it sometimes) and draw it!

My friend was terrible and he got really good after a month. He's getting better so fast it's not even funny. Never too late man!!
Btw i don't wanna give you advice to look down on you because i hate people like that. I don't think i'm a better artist than anyone, I'm just trying to be helpful...
I actually do plan on picking it up sometime soon, when I get some free time, but currently I don't have much free time. Thanks for the advice man. I take what I can get.
