Her mental age is definately younger, since she was so sheltered, her mind is probably so innocent, though she did see some troll rape, and that takes away any mental innocents, but emotionally and stuff I woudl say she is alot younger, than that for sure, and real age I am still sticking by 12 or 13 at the most.
And I don't go aruond checking out preteen ass so I have no clue if they are built like that or not.

Howdy,
My first post and first stupid theory. I don't know if this has been brought up before but I thought I would throw it out there.
Griffith was duped by the God Hand-
Up until Griffith slept with Charlotte, he was on his way to becoming King without needing to be Femto. He had just won the 100 years war, the princess already loved him, and most of his adversaries in the court were dead. The only person who remained in his way was the incestuous king but that could be taken care of. I believe he was possessed when he slept with the princess (notice his eyes, kind of like gatts when he almost raped casca) so that the only way he would realize his dream was to become Femto. Remember, Griffith is alot like Gatts in that ambition comes before women, he would never do something so stupid for a piece of ass. So in summary the God Hand f'd Griffith over to make sure he came over to their side.

Yeah, good explination Ayanami (And nice new sig). In reality, if the God Hand were to posses anyone to get Griffith over to their side, it would be Gutts during his final duel with Griffith, to ensure that Griffith would lose, and as stated by Zodd's prophecy "Break his ambition" leading to the events causing his Eclipse. Good idea though Maverick, always gotta be thinking.
One I just thought of as I was writing this. We all know that fate is pre-drawn, and for almost everyone (except SK, Gutts, and Caska) when fate says something will happen, it will happen. Only a person outside of fate can change this even a bit. This being said, and the God Hand being in with the Idea of Evil about people's fate, why did they even bother coming to the aid of The Count? They had to know he would refuse them, it's not like someone out of fate has convinced his otherwise (Sure Gutts was there, but he didn't do anything to sway the count's decicion). Maybe just to keep up appearances? Or maybe Femto wanted to mess with Gutt's head some more? I don't know, that's why I'm asking.

I believe the whole summoning of the God Hand during that chapter was "outside of fate" because the one man outside of fate, Gutts, killed the Count. Fate summoned the God Hand to the count the first time around with his wife, that second time I believe was only because The Count activated the behelit with his own fear of death or something like that..... which would not have triggered if Gutts was not there to kill him.Tempest wrote:One I just thought of as I was writing this. I think that is why Gatts is such a wrench in their plans. Whatever he does can completly change the outcome of their plans. Its the whole butterfly senario. If he even kills a minor apostle it might ruin something because of an act that that apostle was supposed to do down the road.
Ok, my next wierd idea- Gatts Strength
Throughout the whole manga we always hear "no human can defeat me" and such and "his strength is inhuman". I believe that he is human but his abnormal birth gave him a link to one of the other worlds. Gatts was already a berserker before the armor and with any story that deals with berserkers they are always linked to the spiritual world (usually through possession). I think that this link is related to Gatts strength since he has gone against people larger than them and seems to possess the same if not more strength.

I don't think Guts was under any kind of possession before the eclipse ever. He just has abnormal strength because he grew up fighting every day of his life and seems most ideal in fighting because of that. Plus after the eclipse, during The Count arc, dead spirits tried to possess Gutts body.... but he was not having any of that. The only thing you could say possesses his body to fight better would be The Beast when he is wearing the Berserker armor.su_maverick wrote:Ok, my next wierd idea- Gatts Strength

ok, forget the berserker possession theory but I still think that there is some element of him being tied to another world that explains his inhuman characteristics.
1.) his incredible strength for his size. He is one third the size of Zodd (in human form) and can now fight him on equal terms.
2.) He just cant seem to be killed. No matter how much damage he takes he has never came close to dying. The worst thing that has happened is he passed out for a couple days.
I just think there is more to it than a really good training program.
Prediction- Gatts will end up being like Zodd. I think he likes fighting way too much to just settle down when its all said and done with. I dont think he will be a mass killer like Zodd but I do think he will still be looking to fight the strongest there is rather than raise kids and harvest corn.

1.) Gutts can fight pretty much on par with regular form Zodd, but with Apostle Zodd, he would have gotten smashed up. The only reason that he didn't get beat on the Sword Hill was because Griffith pulled Zodd back. The only person we know that fights on par wit hApostle form Zodd is Skull Knight.
2.)Gutts is just a hard ass. That's it.
If anything, Gutts is gonna end up like Skull Knight, forsaking everything just to fight the God Hand, but since we learn from Flora that fate is like a spiral, not a circle, his fate may be similar to SK's, but not the same.

that is possible that he will end up like SK but the only difference I see is that Gatts seems to have more bloodlust (more towards Zodd). Of course, that may be because SK is god knows how old (thousand-ish?) and may have left that behind.
I think it will become alot clearer when they go into more detail about Gatts and Casca's child who though looked evil in the begining has done nothing but protect them. Possibly the real god-slayer?
