yeah it was something about a war on some other large island or mainland. i think it was between some humanlike creatures vs some that resembled the awakened ones. and that the claymore vs awakened project is a project to find a weapon against those creatures.

that might not be 100% accurate, but its something along those lines

New chapter's out on mangastream. I think I'm going to stop reading now. It's just gotten so dull for me that I don't really care what's going on anymore. Might check it out when it's done to see what happened. Too bad it got so far off track, it was awesome in the beginning.

As far as I can tell the main plot's come to something like this:

People are having war on the mainland. They set up a research area where they created claymores as experimental weapons. Miria found out and decided to fuck them over.

What's annoying is that this plot wasn't even there in the beginning. The manga was so much better when it focused on Clair and didn't mention the whole *this is an experiment* angle.

Phantom Miria is so hot even with the great X on her face. I like her character and fighting style.
I hope she will stand up against those monster she is fighting with.
I dont want her to die.
She is the keyholder of the story and one the best manga characters ever.

I saw the animated series for Claymore, I am disappointed that they havent shown more of Clare in the recent releases of the Claymore manga. It seems like the enemies that they are fighting right now are their own people who turn into freaky looking beast like half human half spider things.
