I wasn't sure where to put this thread, I apologize if this is the wrong spot.
What should one do if one finds errors in some of your scantilation pages? For example, in full metal alchemist right is spelled "rite" and "the baby is broned" (I think the word is suppose to be born, but even then the grammar is a little off)
Would you guys want to be told of such issues in order that you might be able to produce a better scantilation?
What should one do if they find errors in a scantilation?

No, you don't need to tell us about it. We haven't worked on FMA in like, forever (before I did any QC work with the team, that's for sure). We're not going to go back and re-release old chapters just to correct spelling and grammar. So if you see an error, sorry, but don't worry about it. We've come a long way since we worked on FMA, we do the best we can, but if any errors do manage to slip by these days, then it happens, oh well, ignore it and move on. This is a hobby that we do for free, and I don't think any of us are the kind to worry about making re-releases unless maybe there's a serious translation error, and even then, I can't make any guarantees.

If someone wanted to fix the errors by themselves for release somehow, would that be alright with you guys? If so, what font and font size was used?
Re: What should one do if they find errors in a scantilation?
I would rather you do it for your own copy, and not distribute it around.
You're talking about releases we have made in the past, where there were no QC attempts at those mangas. I would like to say that our more recent releases are of a much higher quality compared to the releases we made many years ago. Yes, I have noticed a lot of grammatical and spelling errors in our very early releases. Since we are not working on those titles anymore, I do not feel compelled to do anything with them.

I don't think half the toilet seats in the world are as clean as I should like; and only half of those are half as clean as they deserve. - tsubaimomo, July 26, 2010 3:00 am

Why not distribute them around? It's kind of a waste of my time otherwise, since theres only so much I want to read the same pages anyway. So it wouldn't be just for me.
I get that you guys have improved alot (hopefully past using WTF and STFU in your translations) but a manga is never too old to be improved. If someone else could improve the read for you, what harm would that be?
It bugs me that whole chapters of a manga have to be screwed up and unfixable (and I mean some scantilations much worse then your early work too) because some group released a half baked product and due to some vague unspoken code (or what ever reason you would have against anyone else distributing a fix), noone else can fix/touch it.

I'm pretty sure that manga's licensed now. So buy the official books before bothering to fix scantilations.

Oh right, for recent releases though, you can tell us and we'll fix it for when the volume is done and a new torrent is made.
