Translation
This is from another forum:
Os iusti meditabitur sapientiam,
Et lingua eius loquetur indicium.
Beatus vir qui suffert tentationem,
Quoniam cum probates fuerit accipient coronam vitae.
Kyrie, ignis divine, eleison
O quam sancta, quam serena, quam benigma, quam amoena
O castitatis lilium
What does it mean? As far as I can see the lyrics consist of different quotations:
First of all a quotation from Psalm 37,30:
"The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom,
And his tongue speaks justice."
Then a quotation from James 1,12:
"Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial;
for once he has been approved,
he will receive the crown of life
(which the Lord has promised to those who love him)."
Thereafter a liturgy part of a "Alchemy Mass":
"Kyrie, ignis divine, (pectora nostra juva,
ut pro tua laude pariter sacramenta artis expandere possimus,)
Eleison."
"Kyrie. Our Lord, divine fire, (help our hearts,
that we may be able, to your praise, to expand the sacraments of the art,)
have mercy"
And at the end some words from a Gregorian chant called "Ave Mundi Spes Maria":
"O so holy,
so serene,
so gentle,
so pleasant,
O lily of chasteness"
