I watched Superbad last night, I thought it was pretty damn funny, though a little odd at times. :P

In regards to Beowulf, yes it is a stupid story. Too bad it's like the oldest English story out there so its famous for that. Think of it more like the writer is Beowulf, and if he were speaking it to an audience he would say "he" instead of "I" in the telling. I personally would like to see a movie adaptation of "The Wanderer" another ancient English text.

Does Beowulf actually burst out of that sea creature's eye in the original story, or was that just in the movie, because it reminded me of Berserk. :P

Haha! That would have been awesome! But sadly... no. His battle with sea monsters was just another mead inspired boast:

Annoyed dude: Well Beowulf, if you're so manly, how come so and so beat you in that swimming race across the such and such channel.

Beowulf: Well, you ignorant scamp, I was swimming in full armor with a sword and was attacked by 11 sea monsters along the way.

All in the mead hall: Haha, Beowulf you are the baddest dawg. Let's drink!

Watched Futurama the movie yesterday and I was not impressed.
The jokes are on a lower standard than it usually is, the plot wasnt that good.
I still love the series but this movie doesnt fit, did they just make this crap to earn money?

I'm very excited for it. I'm a fan of musicals, tim burton, and johnny depp.

Perfect movie for me.

So the theatrical trailer for "The Dark Knight" was shown before "I Am Legend" (Which was released on Friday). Supposedly an internet version is coming soon, but for anyone who can't wait check out THIS (Note: Because it was illegally taped who knows when Warner Bros will bring the hammer down on these guys like the have on Youtube, so if you want to see it do so ASAP) It's a crappy quality and the guy taping it failed to do anything with the top half of his screen, but it's a bootleg so you can't expect much.

I saw I Am Legend in Imax and got to see a 6 min preview of the movie. Pretty gosh darn sick.

I still don't buy Heath Ledger as a good Joker, but the trailer looks really nice. Can't wait for the movie.

I really, really don't like that Joker.

The juxtaposition of a guy that looks like a clown against a completely insane criminal mastermind seems to be lost.

Now he just looks all angry and scary.

After watching the 6 minute preview I can say taht I have faith in Heath Ledger. Though no one can ever replace Jack.

I don't know what to think of it yet. I think I'll give it a chance Because I don't mind Heath Ledger. In fact I find him an allright actor. And I'm waiting to see the whole movie to grasp what soul he gave to the character. I think Christopher Nolan can pull off a darker Joker with less Laugh.

I watched I Am Legend and I find it awesome but definatly not as good as the book. They kinda twisted the meaning of the title But all in all it was awesome if we can pass by the facts that the infected could have looked better and that the finale is not as good as the more pessimistic and critic ending of Matheson's book. The first 3/4 of the movie is Worth it. I would give it a 8 on 10 but I must admit this story I really like and that might make me a bit of a 'sellout' .

I Am Legend looks good - I'll definitely see this one.
Golden Compass - After seeing Chronicles Of Narnia and the previews of Bridge To Terabithia, I simply can't see how this can be any better.
The Dark Knight - Looks good despite Heath Ledger (I vote for Mark Hammil as Joker).
Sweeney Todd - Quite odd, but it looks interesting.
National Treasure: Book of Secrets - This seems more of a "I got time to kill" movie.
P.S. I Love You - Looks really ghey even for a chick flick.
Charlie Wilson's War - I can't see Julia Roberts as a real actress, but I might see it for Tom Hanks.
Atonement - No idea.
August Rush - I wouldn't watch this, it looks really boring.
The Bucket List - This one might be entertaining.
The Great Debaters - I'm getting tired of Denzel Washington, but the movie might be ok.
In the Name of the King - Pass!

I recently saw Balls Of Steel and I really liked it, it has a few moments that are a little bland (George Lopez mainly), but I really enjoyed it. It's worth renting.

Although I'm a big fan of the series. But in regards to the Dark Knight, ever since I heard the casting for the Joker I had trouble picturing Heath Ledger being a Good Joker. And after watching the trailer I still have some doubts. I hope I'm proven wrong, but the Joker is one of those characters where the right casting is everything...beyond whether someone is a good actor who happens to be popular amongst Hollywood at the moment.

Is anyone out there NOT worried about Heath Ledger playing the Joker? I mean, seriously...I just don't think he was our best choice. I don't know who would be...but him? He's a good actor, but I can't see him as a good Joker. *shrugs*
