I'm not a big fan of Killzone, but what are you talking about? These screenshots look great:
Note the date- 2005. They are from the pre-rendered trailer. Check out the sub-GameCube textures and horrible, horrible shadows in the first real screenshot of the game;
The screenshot is done with such style though. I don't really care for it but the new released trailer was said to be good. I'm to lazy to check it out.
The newly released trailer is cool. And also gameplay. The trailer is made of the intro we first saw in the previous trailer, then 2 highlights of the game that was played in a 15min long demo for the press. Pretty damn good.
The only thing the game really needs is that the online for it is great. the first game was good, but had horrible online play.
P.S PS3 's pressconference on the whole was very good, quite promising. MGS4 new stuff was pretty neat. Hideo will show himself playing an extensive demo of the game next week.

Looks just too beautiful. Controls are reponsive, however after playing the demo, this game with have a pretty deep learning curve.
How the controls go:
there are 3 stances in the demo, speed stance, range stance, and power stance. Now your character always stays in the speed stance. The range stance is activated by holding down L1 and vice versa with R1 on the power stance.
There is no Block button. Attacks are in three categories, blue, orange, and red. blue attacks are block by not pressing any button and facing the attacker in either speed or power stance. To block orange attacks you must be in the power stance and red attacks are unblockable. Now if you time the attack correctly and pres triangle at the same time you can counter the attack, mind you that this counter window is the smallest ive ever seen.
As for combos there are the simple square, square, triangle type of attacks. What makes the learning curve to me seem deep is the arieal combos that they have. Since there is no jump button ( i know when i saw the controls i was thinking they forgot a button) they use the six axis motion controls. So far to make an enemy launched up in the air it requires your character to be in the range stance and press triangle, after you see someone launched, you have to raise the controller up a bit, at first i ws thinking like wii style, yank that controller up, but just a little flick is all you need. The while in the air you have other combos to press, some include you to continuly hold down L1, while some requre you to let go, and others require to hold down R1+triangle, then L1+square, and then just square.
It was a bit weird to do at first, pressing two buttons at the same time to do attacks, but after playing the demo a few times it did seem to come.
Now the fun part is the Circle button. Once your character has her attack sphere filled you can just press circle on any enemy and there is your fun little cinematic overkill. There are up to 3 charges, each doing different damages. Now the X button is your action and pick up items button. During a fight, some enemies drop their weapons, and thus you can pick up their swords, shields, axes, hats, boxes, tables, etc. pick up and throw, then follow up on the staggering enemy.
Demo is super short, which is really made me mad, but the demo game is just amazing.
ALSO if you thought it looked like aGod of War or Ninja Gaiden clone, its not, no where near, plays completely different. Heavenly Sword is its own game. Can't wait for the final game to come out.
Finaly getting excited for PS3 and its time to get very soon.
I mean after seeing MGS4 gameplay video,Heavenly Sword gameplay who showed it isnt only hype and Killzone 2. Plus Assassain's Creed coming out this year.
It looks like its gonna be a great time for PS3 fans when those games comes out.

I liked Drake's Fortune better back when it was called Tomb Raider.
Not to mention Ratchet & Clank- I'm a huge Ratchet & Clank fan, but what we've been shown of Tools of Destruction is the exact same game we've already played three times. I'm withholding final judgment, but so far Tools of Destruction does not look like it can so much as touch Up Your Arsenal.
Yeah that was a nice pounch, hope you can do that in the game when you want.
Haha the pitchfork glitch,
Cris got his ass kicked in the rest of the trailer. Must say i was surprised by his muscle doesnt look like the usual RE hero. Leon was a strong guy but not this big.

I'd have to give it to Chris, but Leon is still a bad ass. Ah man, I need to go watch these new trailers. You can punch! I so freaking hope so, because it's been a long time coming.
Are the heros of Resident Evil destined to raid small villages?

For real, as far as Resident Evil goes, Chris is THE MAN. I mean, he was one of the main characters in the first game. Plus, he's awesome in Code Veronica. Dude has fought legions of the undead, AND he can pilot a harrier jump jet. Who else hear can claim such a feat? *Laughs* Not to down play Leon, the man has proven his worth, but I still got to give it to Chris. Leon may be a specialist, but only military officers can fly jets, or so I hear.

RE2 > RE1
RE4 > RE1 and Code Veronice !!
I think everyone remembers Resident Evil 1. I mean why else would people constantly bring up Barry and Jill (even though she had RE3)? Especially Barry the beard giant!
soo basically RE 1 is pretty much the shit. If you own a GC do yourself the upmost favor and get RE remake, and RE Zero. IF you dont have a gc, then play that shit on your damn wii. BTW wii RE4 is bullshit suxorz.
Half i cant take you seriously anymore after you said RE4 sucked.
That game is holy to me cause every year and every new RE games since RE2 broke my fanboy heart seeing how bad they were except Code Veronica who were decent.
Malvado: Oh i just remembered Barry and Jill. flashbacks from RE1 oooh..
