Re: Heroes
Agreed on all accounts(said more or less the same in another forum) that its insanely retarded writing when it could have beens so much better. I will keep watching it because its decent and entertaining enough in the concept of being comic saga and superheroes, but thats only why I will tolerate it further (because of the concept...same reason I still watch Smallville even though its stupid and average), not because its interesting writing. Will stop though if they sink even lower in writing and hamper the decent entertainment value of the show.

Re: Heroes
Yeah, I agree. Heh, anime really is superior to most forms of entertainment in similar categories. One thing I like about Heroes though, is it seems like they've done a good job on working in lots of interconnectivity. It's interesting enough to keep watching, but I'm with Shaka. If it gets to sub-par on quality, I'll stop watching it.
Re: Heroes
Its not nearly as bad as Smallville but its not that good iether. If it was a comic it would get canceled. Funny enough people that have never read comics think its great.
Me i like it mostly cause of Hiro is awesome and Claire is sweet girl. Even though they dont write well for her, i like the faces she makes.

Re: Heroes
Why would Peter have been able to fly away on his own? Did I miss something or are other characters capable of using more than one power at a time? I would think if you were going nuclear, you might find it hard to fly. And Nathan needed a redemption moment. It seems to me that Claire's grandmother is really one of the baddies, since she knew before Peter's patient died that there was an explosion in the future. And it seemed as if she was the one trying very hard to convince Nathan (and Claire) that there was nothing that could be done about it. It seemed like more than mere resignation. From what I saw, she was the one with the political ambition.
I could go on and on but it's a tv show and I don't care that much about it. It entertains me; it doesn't educate me or change my reality.

Re: Heroes
I'll accept that Peter may have been too busy trying not to explode, to fly, but there were still better options then Nathan having to die. It's king of lame that Peter still couldn't control himself, even after his training. Meh, but as you say, it's not a big deal. I've never really tried to hold the show to a specific standard, as I have with other things. I accept it for what it is, and am pleased when it surprises me.
